Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21
LISTEN : When God says “well done” to anyone for a job well done, He opens more doors of favour to such person. My dear, God never says, well done ” to a mediocre. He does that to people with excellent spirit, obedience and fear of God. Imagine contracting your house project to an Engineer. And when the project is finished, you’re called over to inspect the project. To your greatest surprise you discovered that the builders never followed the house plan but built something different and disgusting; would you be pleased with the builders? Will you say well done to your Engineer? Of course not! Beloved, you have heard someone said, “Well done” to you or someone else? What does that mean? It means that you or the person in question has done well. When you hear “well done”, it means a job or something has been carried out successfully or satisfactorily. Well done expresses congratulations or approval for something that is satisfactorily done. Therefore, God cannot say well done until you have done well. (2 Chronicles 31:21 ; 2 Corinthians 5:9 ; 2 Corinthians 10:18). When God says “well done” to you, it means you have demonstrated faithfulness to His assignments to you; that you have performed accurately and diligently the work He has assigned to you. Beloved, the end of our service to God is to gain His approval. To hear Him say “well done, good and faithful servant.” This should be our ultimate goal. That alone will guide and strengthen us to keep serving His purpose even when we are rejected, despised, humiliated, harmed, oppressed, incarcerated, persecuted, betrayed, etc. Besides, we should do whatever we are doing for God very well. My dear, you might be able to do a lot of things for God at once, but are you doing them well? Are they done to glorify His name? Remember, you can’t hear well done from God until you have done well. Henceforth, serve God in faithfulness lest you end up serving in vain. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD’S SWEET LOVE
Sunday, May 3, 2020
Bible Verse : Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God… 1 John 3:1
LISTEN : God’s love is sweet and wonderful. His love is immeasurable and beyond compare. He loves us even when we are stained and soaked in sin. He cleansed our sins with the precious blood of His sinless son Jesus Christ, and therefore declares us “not guilty.” He judges, regards, and treats us as righteous and worthy of salvation and eternal life. Truly, only the love of God can justify sinners; and whom the Lord justifies no one can bring any charge against. If you accept Jesus Christ today you are a new person. Old things are passed away and all things are now new in your life. (2 Corinthians 5 :17). Beloved, God wants you to embrace and believe what Jesus Christ has done for you. He wants you to walk in faith and knowledge of your new identity. Never allow Satan or the guilt of the past to continue to condemn you. Your faith in Christ has made you whole. You may have been seen as the worst of sinners, but by your faith in Christ everything has changed. You cannot be condemned anymore because Christ is standing as your lawyer against every accusation. The Bible says, “Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died and more than that, he was raised, who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.” (Romans 8:33-34). Beloved, embrace God’s everlasting love and you will not be eternally condemned. Remember, God loves you more than you can ever imagine. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear LORD, I thank you because you love us. Help me to appreciate and reciprocate your love, in Jesus’ name, amen.
