Bible Verse : The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalms 9:9
LISTEN : Running to God is running into safety, as running away from Him is running into troubles. Lots of people depend so much on their strength and abilities and depend less on God. To some, God is not important because they believe they can handle everything on their own. My dear, it is dangerous and catastrophic to do without God. Hear this story : A boy was fighting with his older brother, not too far from where their father was standing. And having realised that he was no match to his older brother, he picked up a stick and hit his older brother and attempted to escape. But not too long his older brother caught up with him and beat him up. Surprisingly, their father shouted at the younger one instead of scolding the older one and said, “Where were you running to, boy? I was here to save you but you ran passed me and continue to run aimlessly. Can you see the consequences of ignoring me?” Sadly, this is exactly how most people live. They feel they can handle everything by themselves. They abandon God even in times of trouble. They run to places they can’t find refuge. My dear, is your life characterised by the said lifestyle? Do you think you can do without God? Why do you choose to suffer in the hands of the devil when you can run to God for help? God should be your protector. David said, “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalms 9:9). My dear, like David, determine to run to God today and be saved. Be wise!

TOPIC : ARE YOU AIMING HEAVEN AT ALL?
Verse Of The Day : Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. Colossians 3:2
LISTEN : My dear, are you aiming heaven at all? Are your eyes on eternity? Truly, heaven is a lovely place to be. God wants us to share in His heavenly splendor and enjoy His unmatchable bliss. Therefore, He wants us to make heaven our goal by directing our thoughts towards pleasing Him. My dear, to please God you must guard your thoughts at all times. This is because, what you think about, to a great extent determines what you do or become. Thoughts trigger actions, and your actions will determine your success or failure in life. It will equally determine where you will spend eternity – heaven or hell. Good thoughts will produce good actions, and bad thoughts will produce bad actions. You can’t be different from what you think. (Proverbs 23:7a). That is why it is vital to direct your thoughts in line with the will of God. In our Bible verse , we are urged to think about things that are above and not about things that are on the earth. We should constantly desire the blessings that God has prepared for us in heaven. (1 Corinthians 2:9,10). We should bother ourselves with the things of heaven and abstain from the evil in the world. Besides, our minds should be consumed with thoughts of eternity with God. A kind of life God has chosen to terminate the miseries of humanity. Beloved, to enjoy eternity with God, you must be eager to please Him. Be wise!
Prayer : Eternal God, I thank you for such a wonderful day. Help me to always fix my eyes on you as long as I live, amen!
