Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Many there are who say of my soul, “There is no help for him in God.” Psalms 3:2

Thought of The Day : God is with anyone who is committed to Him; and satan can’t destroy anyone whose life is already sacrificed to God.

LISTEN : Man can talk and plot evil against you, but God has the last word. No one can conclude you when God is not done with you. As a matter of fact, Men are not God, so have faith in God. He who has faith in God can’t be disappointed no matter the wicked enterprises of men against him. It’s not about what people say that happens to you, but what God says and you believe and walk by faith. The Bible says,

“Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord commands it not?”

Lamentations 3:37

Lack of the knowledge of God puts people at the mercy of the devil and wicked men. The Bible says,

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.”

Hosea 4:6

My dear, if you know God, the wicked can’t prevail over you. Their threats can’t change your mind about God or shake your confidence. Have you ever been in a situation where people boasted that, you’re not going to come out alive? While facing a terrible situation, have you not been told by some persons that things will never again be the same with you? Besides, have you ever been told that you’re doomed, and there is no way out of your predicaments? I have had several of such experiences, but God miraculously led me out of the pit of destruction. My dear, God is rich in mercy, and in every trouble He’ll make a way of escape for you. Your enemies may conclude that you’re doomed, and that God can’t even help or save you from their hands (Exodus 5:2); but that’s a lie from the pit of hell. It doesn’t matter who says that there is no hope of escape for you, God will enable you to triumph over them. So they said to David, but he overcame them. Our verse of the day says,

“Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. But you, O LORD, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”

Psalms 3:2,3

God knows how to disappoint the wicked and establish His own purpose instead. So, forget about their threats and anchor your hope in the living God. My dear, be strong and have faith in God no matter what, and know that men are not God. Remember, God has the last word! Be wise!
