Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. Acts 16:9

Thought Of The Day : Anyone Christ saved should demonstrate his or her salvation by showing others the way of salvation.

LISTEN : Christ is the Captain of our salvation, and we’re sailing in the same boat with him. His mission is our mission. And his mission is to rescue the perishing. Christ Jesus died and resurrected that the world may come to him and be saved. However, if we (his disciples) refused to announce him to the world they’ll be lost forever. Beloved, anyone Jesus Christ saves should determine to show others the way to salvation. The world should come to know Christ Jesus through us his disciples. Satan has blinded the eyes of people that, they don’t recognize the danger they’re in. Lives are wasted everyday around the world because people choose Satan over God. They live their lives in favour of the so-called pleasures of the world. They’re lost because they don’t know Christ Jesus. However, God wants them to be saved. The Bible says,

“since he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.”

1 Timothy 2:4-6

My dear, are you a believer in Christ Jesus? Do you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour? Are you born again by the power of the Holy Spirit? Then, you’re not permitted to ignore the lost. You’re not permitted to watch sinners go to hell. Anyone Christ saved should demonstrate his or her salvation by showing others the way of salvation. In his missionary journey. Paul received a vision of where God was leading him to preach Christ (in Macedonia). And he didn’t hesitate to move into action. The Bible says,

“And when he had seen the vision, straight away we made the decision to go into Macedonia, for it seemed certain to us that God had sent us to give the good news to them.“

Acts 16:10

Brethren, have we not neglected the call to evangelism for a long time? Remember, when we don’t have keen interest to save the lost, we have lost our claim as followers of Christ Jesus. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. If you’re a genuine Christian, stop sitting around and waiting endlessly to reach out to the world. Instead, rise and go save the lost today.
2. Don’t be ashamed to tell the world about our Saviour Jesus Christ.
3. Don’t just be a churchgoer, be a citizen of God’s Kingdom.
4. Be determined to go where God leads, and do the work He assigns to you.

Prayer : Merciful God, today I acknowledge my sin. Henceforth, help me to do the work of evangelism, in Jesus’ name, amen.

A Word Of Blessing : Today I speak on your life, may God give you passion for the lost. May you not abandon your Christian responsibilities, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : To be ashamed of Christ is to be ashamed of your conviction; and to be ashamed of your conviction is to lose your reward.

Quote : “When we don’t have keen interest to save the lost, we have lost our claim as followers of Christ Jesus.”

Biblical Fact : Did you know Matthew, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ was a tax collector? (Matthew 9:9-13).
