Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. Psalms 34:15

Thought of The Day : Even when God appears to be silent, His eyes have seen the pain of the righteous, and His ears have heard their prayers.

LISTEN : Nothing takes God unawares. He sees through all eternity; therefore, He has made provision for solutions to our problems before they ever occur. He knows the end from the beginning. The Bible says,

“…for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things

that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

Isaiah 46:9,10

God is sovereign and cares about His creation. He is ever closer in times of trouble than we think. No matter where His people call Him from, He hears their cry and groaning. Unlike human, His power is limitless. Couple of months ago, I told a story about two young men who were testing their individual abilities to hear and see each other clearly from a distance. When they stepped a little away backwards from each other, one of them would shout, “Can you see and hear me?” The other would reply, “Yes, I can see and hear you clearly.” They continued the test to a point where they gradually lost sight of each other. And one of them shouted as before, “Can you see or hear me?” This time, there was no response because they can’t hear or see each other anymore. This demonstrates the limitations of man. We see and hear in part. We can only see what the human eyes can see, and hear what the human ears can hear. But our God, the Almighty God is not like that. He sees and hears everything. Even when He appears to be silent, His eyes have seen the pain of the righteous, and His ears have heard their prayers. In fact, God goes where His people go. He leads them by His mighty hands and watches over them with His ‘all seeing eyes.’ His eyes see clearly from heaven all the affairs of the righteous. His ears are open to their cry and groaning. He can’t forsake them because they are precious to Him. Beloved, you’re God’s beloved child. Your faith in Christ Jesus conferred on you the gift of righteousness and divine protection (Romans 5:17). God will guard you with His eyes, and swoop in to save you when the devil attacks you. Henceforth, remind yourself that, you’re the beloved of God. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Determine to fear God and obey His words no matter what.
2. Don’t be afraid when you are faced with trials, rather, remember that God is with you.
3. When you are troubled, pray to God and believe that His ears are open to your prayers.
4. Trust your limitations in the hands of God and trust Him to empower you.

Prayer : Dear LORD, I thank You because Your eyes and ears always locate me. I’m assured of Your presence in times of trouble. Therefore, I will put my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

A Word Of Blessing : You’re the beloved of God. Therefore, I prophesy to you; you’re cover with God’s glory. Henceforth, receive grace to do the will of God. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Your faith in Christ Jesus conferred on you the gift of righteousness and divine protection.

Quote : “God goes where His people go. He leads them by His mighty hands and watches over them with His all-seeing eyes, and hears them with His ever-hearing ears.”
