Verse Of The Day : And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. Judges 8:4

Thought of The Day : Determination turns failure to motivation for success.

LISTEN : Be determined in battles of life, or be prepared to suffer unnecessary defeat. Determination is a vital key to success; it goes towards the goal despite obstacles. In fact, you’re not ready for success until you’re determined to succeed. Obstacles on the way may want to hinder you, but determination and courage would keep you pushing until you overcome. My dear, there is no guarantee that you’ll not faint when pursuing a God-given purpose. No matter how strong and energetic you are, you’ll faint or feel frustrated and helpless at some point, as you travel the road to your God-given purpose. As life gets tougher, people tend to faint and get discouraged. One of the reasons why many fail in their quest for success is because they surrender to “exhaustion.” They got tired and felt they can’t go on anymore. Beloved, you should learn to be strong, courageous and determined when pursuing your God-given purpose (Joshua 1:6,7,9). You should get moving even when you lack the strength to proceed further. Learn to “think outside the box” and realise that you can’t make it all alone. You need help. You need God. When your strength is gone and you can’t proceed any further, you need God. When your hope is disappointed, you need God. When fear and enemies threaten your life, you need God. With God, your strength, hope and courage will return. In our Bible verse, Gideon and his three hundred men prevailed over the one hundred and thirty five thousand Midianites, because they first overcame the temptation to surrender to “tiredness.” The Bible says,

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

Pro 24:10

Gideon and his men persevere despite being exhausted. The Bible recorded thus: “they were tired, yet pursuing them” (Judges 8:4). Beloved, do you have such courage and determination? Please don’t give up on your dreams and visions. Keep pushing, certainly you’ll break through. If you can’t give up you’ll certainly go up. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Deal with your spiritual dryness, pray and keep pushing until you break through.
2. Never give up on your God-given purpose, rather fight until you overcome.
3. Don’t be lazy in spirit, instead, be strong and fervent in the Lord’s service.
4. Don’t surrender to the wish of your enemies, rather, rise and fight through faith and prayer.
