Verse Of The Day : David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him,… but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

Thought of The Day : He or she who bothers himself or herself with his or her problems will always magnify them endlessly.

LISTEN : Faith in God gives you confidence to face life courageously. My dear, are you greatly distressed? You need faith to survive. Life is full of trials and no matter how much you try to avoid it you will certainly face it sooner or later. The Bible says,

Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

Job 14:1

Trial is not a respecter of persons. It happens to the poor and to the rich. Both the strong and the weak share in these ordeals. Therefore, we should learn to be strong and courageous in the face of trials. Beloved, when someone breaks your heart what would you do? When your marriage is in crisis, what would you do? When you are sick and weak, or threatened by death, what would you do? When you are afraid and worried about the future, what would you do? When your world seems to be falling apart, what would you do? Cry, complain and groan, right? Of course not! You must determine to encourage yourself in God. Tell yourself that all hope is not lost. Remind yourself that God is able and willing to help you. Do not hesitate to run to Him. In our Bible verse, David did not hesitate to run to God when his life was threatened by his army when they grieved for members of their families, who were captured in Ziglag by the Amalekites. (1 Samuel 30:1,2). When everyone lost hope, David built his hope in God. He asked God for solutions and he got it. (1 Samuel 30:7,8,17-19). Beloved, stop bothering yourself with your problems and magnifying them; instead, begin to fix your eyes on God and your problems will receive a divine intervention. Never allow circumstances to bend your head towards frustration, instead look up for divine help. David said, “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” (Psalms 56:3). In the same way, anytime you are afraid trust in God and He will deliver you from all your fears (Psalms 34:4). Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Never lose hope when situation looks hopeless, instead put your trust in God.
2. Stop looking at your problems and start looking at the promises of God.
3. When your life is threatened, do not panic, rather encourage yourself in God.
4. When faced with trials, do not spend your time crying, complaining or groaning; rather spend it in prayer.

Prayer : Dear LORD! I thank you today for your love towards me. Help me to hide myself in you when troubles seek to take my life away, amen.

A Word Of Blessing: Today I speak on your life. May God deliver you from evil and wickedness of men and sets your feet on high, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : As believers in Christ Jesus, the force of faith never allows circumstances to bend our heads toward frustration and defeat.

Quote : “When you bend your knees to pray, Satan stands on his feet to flee. When your eyes are on Christ Satan enters a crisis.”

Biblical Fact : Did you know Gideon is also called Jerubbaal? (Judges 7:1).

Stunning Fact : Did you know Finland has the largest number of islands in the world (over 179,550)?

Bible Quiz : What are the names of Jobs three friends who visited him in his trials?

God bless you!
