Verse Of The Day : Now then, brothers, you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God, as in fact you are doing. We ask and encourage you in the Lord to do so even more. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (ISV).

Thought of The Day : When we grow our desires to please God, our dedication to His service increases.

LISTEN : The death of Christ Jesus on the cross for us shows that, we have been delivered from the power of sin and darkness; and has been translated into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son Jesus Christ. The Bible says,

Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

Colossians 1:13

We have moved from death to life; and from darkness to light. Therefore, it means that, we are not to please ourselves, but to please God. One of the ways to please Him is to pour our hearts into spreading the gospel of His kingdom. We are no longer our own but God’s. The Bible says,

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:15

Beloved, how much do you love God? How much do you desire to please Him? Lack of desire and passion for God will leave you at the level of a mere churchgoer. My dear, grow your desire to please God. Without desire and passion, life will lack direction. If there is no desire there can never be any worthwhile achievements. The Christian race is a great calling. It has its cost; but the prize that awaits us at the end of the day is greater than the cost. So, learn how to live and please God. That’s why we are in church; that’s why we are believers in Christ Jesus; that’s why He died on the cross. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Grow your desire to please God no matter what it would cost you.
2. Let what you learn of God draw you more closer to Him.
3. Determine to know more of God as you grow in faith.
4. Know how you ought to live in a corrupt and wicked world.

Prayer : Dear Lord. Your will is the best for me. I cannot do your will without your grace. Therefore, help me to please you always, in Jesus ’ name, amen.

A Word Of Blessing : Today, receive grace to know and do the will of God no matter what, in Jesus ’ name, amen.

Reflection : We have moved from death to life; and from darkness to light when Christ is received into our hearts.

Quote : Lack of desire and passion for God when you are in church will leave you at the level of a mere churchgoer.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Abraham was the son of Terah? (Genesis 11:26)

Stunning Fact : Did you know snails live everywhere on earth?

Bible Quiz : What made Jonah to run away from God’s message to him for the people of Nineveh?

God bless you
