Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalms 50:15

Thought of The Day : Crisis comes as a disaster and tragedy, but when we turn to God, it becomes opportunities for success and victory.

LISTEN : Supplication is the cure for crisis situation. When crisis hits us we should determine to prevail in prayer. We should earnestly and humbly ask God for intervention. We should pray until the crisis is fixed. The Bible says,

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray...”

James 5:13

If God says we should pray, He meant to answer. He would not only answer us, but would reveal the cause of the crisis to us too. The Bible says,

Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

Jeremiah 33:3

Sadly, prayer is a major problem for many people. Rather than pray for divine directions in times of crisis situation, they worry and compound their crisis. Beloved, instead of wallowing in self-pity, sorrow, despair, defeat and pains, let your crisis situation force you into supplication. Supplication is the action of begging or asking for something earnestly or humbly. In crisis we should make supplications. We should petition God and give thanks to Him and shun the habit of worrying ourselves. The Bible says,

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

Philippians 4:6

Beloved, we have a solid foundation in God. God has given us a foundation (Himself, His Word), and will always supply a strategy that would bring our escape in crisis if we ask Him. In our verse of the day He said,

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalms 50:15

So, apply to Him for the supply you need. Trust me, you will learn that God wants to supply you with far more than simple relief from your difficulty, as desirable as that may be. He wants to supply you with Kingdom riches in form of wisdom, peace, and faith. When God supplies you with wisdom, peace and faith, there is no crisis situation you cannot overcome and thrive in the end. Henceforth, pray and God will supply the grace. Be wise!
