Verse Of The Day : As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men… Galatians 6:10
Thought of The Day : Selfishness makes a man to think and see himself as the only person that’s entitled to good things of life.
LISTEN : What does it take to do good to others? It takes a true heart of sacrifice and faith in God. Over and over again, opportunities to do good to others are missed due to selfishness and insensitivity. On a daily basis we see people who are suffering and struggling with life. And we are selfish, insensitive and too busy to recognise their plight. My dear, it is inhumane to be insensitive to the plight of others. Everything in life is a seed, and we reap what we sowed (Galatians 6:7). Couple of months ago, I told a story of a man whose life is characterised by busyness. He never had time for anyone, but only for his own business. His life was crowded with activities that he became so insensitive to the needs and plight of others. One day, he was travelling to a certain city, and was flagged down by a man who was wounded by armed robbers but escaped the armed robbery attack on the same road he was travelling on. And because he was a very busy man who never cares about others, he refused to stop but rather, accelerated his speed. Not quite a long distance from the point he was flagged down by the wounded man, the armed robbers attacked his car. As he was struggling to escape and they shot at him and he died. He wouldn’t have ended up that way had he shown a little kindness to the wounded man. Yes, when the welfare of others don’t matter to you, yours won’t matter to God too. Lots of people are like the man in our story. They are too selfish and busy that the lives of others don’t matter to them (see Luke 10:25-37). They are too busy, selfish and insensitive to recognise opportunities to help others. My dear, don’t be too busy, selfish and insensitive to the plight of others. Make everyday count in your life by helping others. Our verse of the day says,
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men…
Beloved, God is counting on you. Be wise!

3. Never close your eyes to the needs of others, instead, seize the opportunity to help them.
4. Henceforth, shun laziness, be busy with your life, but don’t be too busy for God and others.
