Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : … but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32

Thought of The Day : It takes doggedness and a lion’s heart to stand alone for Christ.

LISTEN : A genuine and deeper knowledge of God will produce a deeper walk with God. To stand up for God anywhere anytime, you must first take deeper root in Him. Beloved, do you truly know God? Knowing God brings us into fellowship with Him. The Bible says,

“…and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1John 1:3

A sincere walk with God will bring Him into our lives (James 4:8-10). God releases Himself into us when we make efforts to know Him more and more. As a matter of fact, the more we know Him the more of His power and presence we will enjoy. My dear, strive to know God more and more. It is difficult to operate on the frequency of divine power without a quality relationship with God. You can’t be strong in God until you are acquainted with Him. How much you know God will determine how far you’re prepared to go for or with Him. This is why Apostle Paul yearn for more of Christ and said,

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death

Philippians 3:10

Those who know God less are usually frustrated and powerless in the face of trials. They’re strangers to the power of God. My dear, the pressure we (believers) go through in the world will either result in staying dedicated to God, or renouncing Him. Those who are not strong and committed will renounce God when the going gets tough. The truth is, no person can stand pressure in the name of God when he or she is chicken-hearted. We need to be determine and dogged to be the kind of people God wants us to be for His kingdom. In pursing God’s purpose, Apostle Paul did exploits for God. Even when he was under pressure to be afraid, he declared,

But none of these things move me,
neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy,
and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Acts 20:24

Beloved, be committed and dedicated to God (Daniel 3:16-18). No matter what, keep burning the incense of prayer, do exploits for God and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ with passion no matter the situation (Acts 8:1-8,40). Friend, do you want to do exploits for God? Then, love and fear Him ; grow in spiritual knowledge, self-discipline and don’t stop burning for Him. Remember, the deeper your knowledge of God, the greater your chances of doing exploits for Him. Henceforth, determine to know God deeper to serve Him deeper. Be wise!
