Verse Of The Day : Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver. Psalms 50:23

Thought of The Day : Genuine thanksgiving to God triggers divine attention, deliverance and favour.

LISTEN: God deserves our praise and thanksgiving. We owe our lives and all we’ve got to Him, therefore we should thank Him always. My dear, thanksgiving to God shouldn’t be an event, but a habit that should thereupon becomes a lifestyle. Our praise to God shouldn’t be determined by our mood, but triggered by the revelation of His sovereignty. When we think of who God is and His power we won’t hesitate or cease to praise Him. Praise moves God and blesses the praiser. The Bible says,

“When they began to shout and praise,
the LORD suddenly attacked the Ammonites, Moabites,
and men from Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.
The Ammonites and Moabites attacked the men from Mount Seir and annihilated them.
When they had finished off the men of Seir, they attacked and destroyed one another.”

2 Chronicles 20:21-23.

To praise God is to express thanks to or love and respect for Him. It is to say good things about Him for all He has done or yet to do. Praise gladdens the heart of God and opens His hands to give to the one who asked of Him. When God is praised miracles happen. As a matter of fact, praise brings glory to God, he who praises Him glorifies Him. Therefore, He responds to such act of honour with blessings. My dear, do you give thanks to God at all? Do you praise Him for His goodness and mercies toward you? No matter the situation, your mouth must not be empty of God’s praise. When your mouth is full of His praise, He’ll fill your hands with His favour. Our verse of the day says,

“Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me.
To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver.”

Psalms 50:23

Beloved, if you can praise God in spite of your troubles, God will honour and deliver you no matter what. Praise (thanksgiving) is God’s will for His people. (1 Thessalonians 5:18). If you can praise Him irrespective of any situation in your life, He’ll reveal His power that brings deliverance and bless you beyond measure. So, no matter what, let not your mouth be empty of His praise; instead, learn to give thanks to God always. Be wise!
