Verse Of The Day : And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Thought of The Day : The heart that is watered with prayer and thanksgiving would surely grow the seed of ‘peace of mind.’

LISTEN : The heart that grows in prayer of faith will grow in peace of mind. My dear, you can multiply your peace of mind when you increase your prayer life (James 5:13). When your heart is troubled, rise and pray. Prayer of faith generates confidence and courage to overcome trials and conflicts. The truth is that, prayer enables us to draw strength from the throne of grace. The Bible says,

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

Beloved, pray, for not to pray is to make yourself a prey. Talking to God about your problems is key to experiencing peace of mind. The Bible says,

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

People feel restless and troubled when faced with trials or difficult situations because, they choose to worry about them, instead of talking to God in prayer about them (Matthew 7:7-8). My dear, learning to pray is learning to trust God. If you can pray in faith you can’t continue to live with a troubled heart. Truly, it is not possible to pray in faith in times of troubles and not feel the peace of God in your heart. I have lost count of times I prayed to God in critical situations and His peace came into my heart as soon as I ended my prayers. Peace came into my heart after praying, because I choose to trust God with my problems and knowing that He is able to help me. My dear, when you pray in faith, you have stopped thinking about what might happen as a result of your troubles, and starts believing what God says He w do in His words (Mark 9:23). Beloved, don’t be anxious about anything, rather pray about everything (Philippians 4:6). When you do that with thanksgiving, the peace of God will fill your heart and mind. As a matter of fact, your thoughts and feelings will be influenced by God and your anxiety and worries will vanish. Henceforth, when you’re heart is troubled, rise and pray. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Stop worrying about your problems and tell God about them instead.
2. Pray and pray again because prayer comes with peace of mind.
3. When your heart is troubled, rise and pray with thanksgiving and wait for God.
4. No matter the circumstance, don’t allow fear to destroy your faith.

Prayer : Dear Lord. Help me to pray in faith in all situations and to praise you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!

A Word Of Blessing : Today, I speak on your life. May the Lord bless and increase you. May the peace of God keep your heart calm and protected always, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Reflection : He who prays in faith and gives thanks in times of troubles will surely feel the peace of God in his or her heart.
