Verse Of The Day: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12

Thought of The Day : To be bankrupt of wisdom is to be bankrupt of purpose.

LISTEN: Grow in God’s word and you will grow in wisdom. You will gain wisdom when you gain God. When the word of God becomes your passion and standard in life, wisdom becomes your life expression. The Psalmist said,

“My mouth will speak wisdom,
And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.”

Psalms 49:3

God’s word is a channel of wisdom. His word affects our mind and transforms our lives. True wisdom comes from God. True wisdom is to think the way God thinks. The word of God is the bank of wisdom. Wisdom in biblical sense is the “ability to judge correctly and follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding. God’s word opens our eyes to the source of true wisdom by showing us His ways. Beloved, following the ways of wisdom causes us to be in harmony with God. And until we appreciate God’s word we cannot understand His ways or follow His will. Therefore, to understand the ways of God we must allow His word to dwell richly in our hearts. The Bible says,

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Colossians 3:16.

Beloved, until the word of God fills your heart, it cannot affect your life. God’s word in our hearts will produce right actions and judgement. True wisdom is important because it will instill in us the fear of God. (Psalms 111:10; Pro. 15:33). God’s word teaches wisdom that enables us to live wisely in a corrupt system and society. Therefore, let us embrace God’s word and gain a heart of wisdom. Remember, when you grow in the word of God, you will grow in wisdom. Be wise!

What Should We Do With This Message?
1. Study the word of God daily and allow it to impact your life positively.
2. Do not take God’s word lightly, instead, honour and obey it.
3. Surrender yourself to God and allow Him to teach you His ways.
4. Grow your love for God’s word and your wisdom will grow with it.
