Verse Of The Day : Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. James 1:12

Thought of The Day : There is no deserved reward without labour, because pain precedes gain.

LISTEN : In life, what you will enjoy is determined by what you can endure. Yes, pressure precedes pleasure. If you’re not willing to endure pain, don’t expect to enjoy gain. My dear, what you can overcome is determined by what you can endure. That is, your capacity to endure temptation or trials will produce a champion in you. In fact, trials mature your faith and strength (Romans 5:2-5). There is no deserved reward without labour. Therefore, to be rewarded you must go through test and be qualified to receive the crown God has reserved for those who love Him. Our anchor Bible verse says, “Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.” (James 1:12). My dear, The crown of life is not for cowards, but for the brave. It is for those whose faith in Christ is from start to finish. Sadly, we tend to worry when trials come. And it becomes worse when the situation refuses to change, and hope gradually fades away. At this point, desperation heightens. And because of this, we tend to behave rashly or go extreme in trying to achieve our aims. In desperation, regrettable decisions and actions are taken, and life becomes more miserable than it really was. My dear, be careful when hope seems to fade away. Be careful when situation pushes you real hard. If you don’t watch your thoughts when you are desperate, you might end up in the hands of the devil. Beloved, when you are in a precarious state, learn to look unto God and not to your situations. Listen to the voice of God and not to the imaginations of your heart; and follow divine directions. Yes, you can’t miss your way when you follow divine directions. The Bible says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5,6). So, when you are in trouble and the situation seems hopeless, stay calm and hopeful. No matter what, don’t take your eyes off God. If your eyes are on God your case is settled. My dear, determine to endure so that you can enjoy in the end. Remember, there is joy after the suffering. Be wise!
