Verse Of The Day : Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. Deuteronomy 5:33
Thought of The Day : Obedience to God is the pathway to His blessings.
LISTEN : God is sovereign! He is greater than all because He created the entire universe and everyone. The Bible says, “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalms 24:1). Obedience to God is the pathway to prosperity. God demonstrated it with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-5; 22:1-15; 24:1). It is the doorway to His blessings. The Bible says, “If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” (Isaiah 1:19). But when disobedience becomes a delight, destruction will become an inheritance (see Achan’s judgment Joshua 7:19-26). When God brought the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt, He warned them against disobedience (Deuteronomy 8 :11). He emphasised on obedience to His word. He warned them against rejecting and disobeying His commandment. He told them the importance of obedience to their own success and life in general. As a matter of fact, He made them to understand that, not to obey Him is to call for His wrath. My dear, disobedience to the word of God is the easiest way to invite the wrath of God. He who neglects to obey God must prepare for His wrath; because the wrath of God travels in the direction of disobedience. The Bible says, “It is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient.” (Colossians 3:6). Beloved, God desires that you prosper. However, you cannot experience this blessing until you are willing to joyfully obey God. When you walk in obedience to God, God will work out things for you. Obedience to God brings success and life; but disobedience to Him brings failure and death. Our verse of the day says, “Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” (Deuteronomy 5:33). My dear, do you want to truly prosper and succeed? Then, obey God. Obey God and you will prosper, live and prolong your days; disobey Him and you will surely regret your actions. The choice is yours. Be wise!
