STOP PUTTING YOUR TRUST IN MAN

Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth! Psalms 121:1-2

Thought of The Day : Those who keep absolute hope in man will end up with headaches and heartbreaks.

LISTEN : A certain wealthy man gathered his children one evening and told them thus : “My children, there is nothing anymore to be afraid of; be happy! We can afford anything, go anywhere we want to go because there is so much money. Sadly, the next day the man’s factory caught fire and everything was burnt down. On hearing the bad news the man collapsed and was not able to keep his promises to his children.” My dear, man can fail you at some point in time because man is not God. God is God and ever faithful! When people fail you, run to the Almighty God, for He will never fail you. When everyone else abandons you, run to Him. No doubt, it hurts when no one offers to help you in times of troubles, but the good news is, God is willing to help you at all times when you put your trust in Him. He will not permit you to be put to shame (Romans 10:11). My dear, when friends, relatives and acquaintances abandon you, put your trust in the living God. The Psalmist said, “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.” (Psalms 14:10). God still cares about you. Therefore, no matter what happens, your eyes should be on Him. He never disappoints anyone who hopes on Him. My dear, it’s important to put your trust in God, because, those who fixed their eyes on God by faith will conquer their fears and worries, and overcome all obstacles in the end. (Isaiah 56:11; Isaiah 41:10;Isaiah 40:31). So, when people fail you, seek God’s help. David said, “I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth!”(Psalms 121:1-2). Beloved, seek the help of God; seek His presence, exercise faith in Him and offer your prayers to Him. He answers prayers, yes, he does! Therefore, carry your concerns and questions to Him. He has answers to all of them. (1Peter 5:7). He will help you through the Holy Spirit and encouragement from scriptures. God is willing to help you if you are willing to ask Him for help. Henceforth, don’t place absolute hope on man, because man is not God. Be wise!
