Verse Of The Day : And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:6,7

Thought of The Day : Even convincing arguments can be misleading because the devil can never be reliable.

LISTEN : Hope, you’ve heard about or seen people who are defrauded of their hard earn money by fraudsters? Why do people fall to their lies? The answer is simple! Their arguments appear convincing to their victims. They talk them into believing lies. In the same way, Satan talk people into believing falsehood. He fashions lies as truth with intent to deceive and destroy his victims. He does this by presenting convincing arguments to the gullible. My dear, no matter how convincing an argument appears, in as much as it’s from the devil it’s designed to kill, steal and destroy what is dear to you, even your life. (John 10:10). When the devil initiates a discussion he wants to steal your conviction, innocence, courage, confidence and ultimately your life. When he came to Eve he made her believed that God was selfish for barring them from eating from the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden. When he succeeded in convincing Eve, Eve no longer saw sin as sin any longer, but as pleasure. The Bible says, “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” (Genesis 3:6). This is what happens when people despise the word of God. They delight in disobedience to God instead of obedience to Him. They are blinded to the consequences of their actions until it boomerangs on them. The Bible says, “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” (Genesis 3:7). Like Adam and Eve, lots of people have been deceived and destroyed by Satan’s lies. Beloved, be watchful. No matter how convincing his arguments appear, pray for God to open your eyes to avoid his traps. Be wise!
