Verse of The DayAnd this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3

Thought of The Day : Life is sweet and will be sweeter with God; for the sweetness of life is hidden in God.

LISTENA wealthy man who has lived in affluence and influence all through his life, woke up one morning to discover that his beautiful wife who slept by his side was dead. This came just couple of months after the demise of his first son. He was totally devastated and overwhelmed with guilt that, he couldn’t save his son and wife with his surplus money. His daughter walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and said, “Daddy, pull yourself together. Comfort yourself with the fact that, we’re rich and I’m happy!” Immediately, the youngest child screamed, “Stop! sister, stop! Can’t you see that our mother and brother are gone? Do you know who is the next? With all of daddy’s wealth we couldn’t save them. Is this life?” My dear, that is true picture of life. Life seems to be generally unfair to humanity. Death makes life unfair to us. When it struck, everything around us appears meaningless. However, there is a better life – the life of God. It is called eternal life, and this life is found in Christ Jesus. Knowing God and His son Jesus Christ will eventually lead to eternal life. Eternal life is the life of bliss that lasts forever. Imagine an opportunity to live forever in wealth and total bliss, and to live in wealth and influence just for a short time. Which would you prefer, living forever, right? This simply means that, there is no true life outside of God. Life’s real meaning can only be found in Him. Yes, no matter the amount of wealth we have in this life without Christ the wealth is a waste. Life without God is nothing but a postponed doom – enjoy today and suffer endlessly tomorrow; be happy today and be sad and tormented forever. Friend, is that what you want? To be eternally tormented? The Bible says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36). Beloved, God’s desire for you is to live forever in total bliss. Isn’t that interesting? So, always remember that you have no life without God. Therefore, exercise faith in Christ Jesus and strive to obtain eternal life and your life will not be a waste after your journey in this life. Be wise!
