Verse Of The Day : …the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. 1 Timothy 5:25 (UKJV)
Thought of The Day : It is not a waste of time to be good and godly. Sooner or later the rewards will show up.
LISTEN : A depressed man was spotted bearing his chin with his hand and muttering about people’s negative reactions toward his philanthropic works in the society. Someone asked him, “Sir, why are you in this mood? And why do you chose to be depressed? Is there anything I could do to help?” He replied, “I’m in pain. People pay me evil for good. They criticised and mocked me after benefitting from my benevolence. No one seems to remember my sincere good works to this land. I’m done with them! I will never again be good to them.” Immediately, the man talking with him wrapped his arm around his neck with a smile and said, “Sir, don’t be bothered about what people do or say to you. Just do what God says we should do. He knows your labour of love towards others. In due time you will reap.” Brethren, sometimes we’re tempted to ask why our good works seem not to be rewarded. Worst of all, people criticise our good works and make us want to give up on doing good. My dear, never give up on doing good, sooner or later God will answer you. The bible says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9). So, keep on doing good! God will surely arise and put your enemies to shame. My dear, it is not a waste of time to be good and godly. Sooner or later the rewards will show up. People may ignore you, or not notice your good works, but one thing is certain, God will not keep it hidden. He will reward you openly. Our verse of the day says, “…the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. (1 Timothy 5:25). Beloved, keep doing good and wait for your time of manifestation. Be wise!
