Verse Of The Day : Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings. Proverbs 22:29

Thought Of The Day : He who must move upwards must keep improving himself inward.

LISTEN : Are you desiring to excel in life? Do you want to be relevant in your generation? Do you want to be great and a blessing to humanity? Then, pursue excellence and the fear of God. Be intentional about it and you’ll excel when you do. To excel is to be or do better than others. It is to be exceptionally good at or competent or skilled in doing or using something. It is to work with excellence. Excellence is key to promotion and greatness. It is the ladder to success. No one remains down or miserable with the spirit of excellence. Excellence is like a mountain, it doesn’t hide. My dear, be intentional about pursuing excellence. You don’t excel by mere answering ‘Excel.’ as your name; excellence comes by purposeful investment into your life. Couple of months ago I told a story about a young man who bears the name, “Endurance”, and decides to change his name to “Excel.” One day, one of his friends called him by his new name and said, “Excel, why is it that you bear a good name but does things poorly?” He replied, “I just like the name, ‘Excel’, but I find it hard and tiring to excel.” That’s terribly sad! Lots of people are like the young man in this story. They desire to excel but don’t work to excel (James 2:17). They fail to realise that excellence does not come by a mere wish but by diligent labour and the help of God. Yes, he who must move upwards must keep improving himself inward. My dear, God really wants to bless you. He blesses people who have excellent spirit. He wants us to function in excellence because He is an excellent God. Surely, nothing can resist a person with an excellent spirit. Excellent spirit is not about the job you do, but about how you do it. It is not about your position in your place of work, but about your profitable input to the work you do. Remember, excellence is not a product of wishful thinking, but hard work and fear of God. So, pursue excellence, for when you do, nothing in life can make you miserable. Be wise!

What Should You Do With This Message?
1. Determine to work hard to achieve excellence no matter what.
2. Always make a difference in your life, job, career and whatever you do.
3. Break the yoke of mediocrity in your life and function in excellence instead.
4. Don’t merely wish for excellence, rather work hard for it.
