Verse Of The Day : Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4.

Thought Of The Day : The presence of God in any battle is too tough for Satan to overcome.

LISTEN : When your life is threatened, Satan makes it appears like you’re doomed. But when you realise that God is with you, you will be strong and courageous. My dear, distress puts life under pressure, but when you rely on God’s presence you will experience calm in the storm. Absence of God’s presence produces fear. Yes, fear accompanies distress. For when life is threatened, peace of mind tends to struggle for survival. No doubt, it is difficult to stay calm when faced with a great danger, but faith in God can stabilise emotions. What is distress? It is unhappiness or pain: suffering that affects the mind or body: a very difficult situation in which you do not have enough money, food, etc. It is a state of danger and desperate need. We often find ourselves in these situations. Most times, distresses turn the lives of people into a nightmare. And those who couldn’t stand the heat, becomes victims. But the good news is that, you can overcome distress if you believe you can outlast it. David was in distress when he penned our Bible verse today, but believes he will surely overcome. He said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4). He truly admitted the fact that he was in great distress, but believes that with God in his side, the situation will end in his favour. Beloved, are you in distress and afraid that, you won’t come out of it? I recommend that you do the following things: 1). Have faith in God and do what you can do, and leave what you cannot do to God. 2). Believe that you can outlast your distress. 3). Refuse to be afraid. 4). Acknowledge God’s presence around you. 5). Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. 6). Surrender yourself to the discipline of God. 7). And finally, be strong and courageous and trust God to help you. David said, “In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.” (Psalms 56:3). My dear, take your eyes off your fears, and fix them on God. When your life is threatened, treasure your life with God. Be wise!
