Verse Of The Day : He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. Psalms 115:13

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Fear and love for God provoke His blessings.

LISTEN : Lack of fear of God brings frustration, curse and disasters. Irredeemable catastrophe begins with lack of fear of God. My dear, do you have the fear of God in your heart? God blesses those who love and fear Him. Age, race, colour, and whatever background are not obstacles to His blessings. If there is love and fear for Him, He can bless you no matter the pain and sorrow facing you today. If you cannot compromise on your love and fear for God, He will not allow you to end as a failure (Romans 10:11). Few months ago, I told a story about a certain slave boy whose family had been enslaved since he was five years old. One day he asked his father, “Father, what is wrong with us? Why are we treated this way by others? When will this suffering be over? Can’t there be a solution to our misery?” His father smiled and said, “Son, all will soon be over. Nothing is impossible to God who created the heaven and the earth. With Him, no one is too young or old to be blessed. No one is too enslaved to be freed. Because we fear God, one day, we shall be free and blessed.” The following year the family was eventually set free and favoured by their slavemaster in many ways as compensation for their years of servitude. My dear, love and fear of God matters to Him. God cannot abandon those who fear Him. In the Bible, Abraham honoured and obeyed God and was blessed for his obedience and faith in God. (Genesis 24:1). God rewarded his years of faithfulness and obedience to Him. My dear, God can bless anyone including you. So, position yourself for the blessings of God. Remember, we are positioned for God’s blessings when we walk in fear, faith and obedience to Him. Henceforth, determine to walk in obedience to God and you will attract His blessings. Be wise!

1. Do not give up on life, rather be hopeful and have faith in God.
2. Determine to be obedient, dedicated and loyal to God.
3. Do not be intimidated by circumstances around you. Instead, rise in faith and declare your victory.
4. Determine to walk in the fear of God and resist the spirit of disobedience.

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you for nothing is impossible to you. Therefore, help me to trust in you and serve you with fear and honour, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Reflection : We are positioned for God’s blessings when we walk in fear, faith and obedience to Him.

Quote : A man’s size cannot hinder God’s blessings. For where love and fear of God is enthroned, The blessings of God will appear no matter the delay.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God is good. He blesses those who fear and love Him. Therefore, I will fear and honour Him for the rest of my life, amen!

Today In History : July 27, 1944, U.S. troops complete the liberation of Guam.

Bible Verse : Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalms 20:7

LISTEN : The name of God is powerful and reliable. His presence troubles the kingdom of darkness. God is our foundation, strength and stability. My dear, your foundation will determine your stability; and who you follow will determine what follows you. Your victory in battles of life is a function of your source of strength. When your source of strength is weak, your chances of victory is slim. In the same way, when your source of strength is strong and reliable, victory is guaranteed. God is a strong tower (Psalms 18:10). He is a shield and refuge. He is a present help in times of troubles (Psalms 115:11). Those who love and fear Him runs to Him in distress and are saved. He delivers His people from those who seek to destroy them. Beloved, is God your source of strength? Is He your help in times of troubles? Who do you rely on for deliverance and victory in times of troubles? In our Bible verse David said, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalms 20:7). Beloved, the name of God saves. Therefore, make God your foundation and put your trust in Him. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you are my strength and fortress. Deliver me from my troubles, in Jesus’ name, amen.
