Verse of The Day : For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1 Corinthians 1:21
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Satan has no reason to fight the gospel of Christ Jesus if the gospel was never a threat to his own kingdom.
LISTEN : If humans by their wisdom were to say by what means God would give salvation to mankind, no one would ever imagine that salvation would be through the gospel of Christ Jesus. This is why lots of people see the gospel (good news) of Christ Jesus as foolishness, but Satan sees it as the wisdom of God and therefore will stand to resist it. He (Satan) would fight it through persecution or martyrdom of those who believe in Christ Jesus. Satan has no reason to fight the gospel of Christ Jesus if the gospel was never a threat to his own kingdom. However, no matter how he tries, he cannot stop the gospel because that is God’s means of salvation. The truth is, the devil cannot stop what God had already finished before it ever started. The gospel is here with us today because salvation is still available. However, the curtain will soon be drawn and it will be too late to accept the LORD Jesus Christ. Beloved, the mystery of the gospel of the kingdom of God is that, even the wisest of people who do not know God, do not know that the foolishness of preaching is God’s means of salvation. Our anchor Bible verse says, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:21). My dear, the gospel of Christ Jesus is before you today. It is the gospel of eternal life and you can be a beneficiary of this divine privilege by believing in Jesus as your LORD and Saviour, and continue to abide in Him (John 15:4-9). Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD’S LOVE CHANGED EVERYTHING
Sunday, July 26, 2020
Bible Verse : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
LISTEN: Lots of people do not know why God loves them. My dear, you are precious to God and that is why He loves you. As a matter of fact, no one loves you like God does. His love changed everything about us. When the Bible says, “God so loved the world”, it simply means that, God loves us. God’s love for the world (we) took Jesus Christ to the cross. God gave him up willingly for us to be saved. (Romans 8:32). His love changed everything. Jesus Christ bore the weight of our sins on the cross because God loves us. God was concerned about us when He puts on Jesus Christ the sin of us all. Jesus died to save and bring us back to God. His death brings us spiritual and bodily healing (Isaiah 53:5). God loves us even when we do not love Him. In Christ, He gave His all. He loves us in spite of our sins and misdeeds. Hence, it will be unfair to reject his love which He demonstrated in Christ Jesus. His love for us cost Him the very life of His Son, and through Jesus Christ, He gives us assurance of eternal life when we believe and stand with Him to the very end. (John 3:16). What a loving God! Beloved, let us not undermine the love of God. Instead, let us love Him heartily and spread His love to the world. Be wise!
Prayer : Heavenly Father, you are loving and kind. Therefore, help me to love you for the rest of my life, amen!
