Verse Of The Day : Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:3

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : He that must reign with Christ Jesus must be prepared to suffer with Him.

LISTEN : Jesus Christ suffered to ease our pains and sufferings. He died to give us life. He was disgraced to give us grace. He was bruised to bring us bliss. He came to earth to bring us to heaven. As a matter of fact, he died to make us one with God. Therefore, to share in his gains, we must first share in his pains. We should be willing to live for what He lived for, and die for what He died for. The Bible says, “For to this you were called, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving an example for you to follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21). Believers in Christ Jesus are called to suffer for His sake. We are elected to follow in His steps to fulfill the will of God for humanity. Therefore, no matter what it will cost us to spread the message of His kingdom to others, we should do and ignore the pressure, shame and the suffering. We should be prepared to make sacrifices in our service to Him. We may face hardship, persecution, molestation, denial, rejection, betrayal, attacks, etc, in course of our service to God, yet, we should be strong and courageous as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Friend, God is faithful, He will reward us for all the pains, troubles and headaches we have suffered to do His will. But if we deny Him for any reason, He will deny us too. The Bible says, “This saying is trustworthy: If we died with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.” (2 Timothy 2:11-12). Beloved, be strong and courageous for Jesus Christ, for no one can reign with Him who does not suffer with Him; and no one will suffer with Him and not reign with Him eventually. Be wise!

1. Be strong and courageous for the LORD Jesus Christ no matter what.
2. In any situation, endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
3. Spread the gospel of the kingdom of God to others and encourage them to come to God.
4. Determine to suffer for the sake of Christ as long as you live.

Prayer : Eternal God, you are good and faithful. Help me to be faithful to you and courageous in the face of troubles, amen.

Reflection : A follower of Jesus Christ must be willing to live for what Jesus lived for, and die for what He died for.

Quote : “To share in the gains of Jesus Christ, we must first share in his pains, shame and sorrow.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that I am strong and courageous for Christ Jesus. Therefore, no matter the circumstance, I will endure as a good soldier of the cross, amen!

Biblical Fact : Did you know Joseph, the supposed father of Jesus Christ was the son of Heli? (Luke 3:23).

Today In History : July 25, 0326 Emperor Constantine refuses to carry out traditional pagan sacrifices.

Stunning Fact : Did you know MasterCard was originally called MasterCharge?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. May the Lord protect and provide for you as you progress in your journey of faith, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11

LISTEN : God’s word purifies our hearts. It washes the stain of sin and presents us pure to God. Therefore, you should treasure the word in your heart. Hide it from the devil. No one hides what is not important to him or her. We hide things because we are mindful of our own happiness and general well-being. In the same way, those who understand what God’s word means will treasure it in their hearts, for it is their life (Deuteronomy 32:47). Beloved, do you have the word of God in your heart? Do you value His words? God’s word is good enough to keep you from sin. People enjoy living in sin because they are bankrupt of the word of God. Friend, how much do you love the word of God? God’s words in your heart will influence your life positively. Your actions are based on the state of your heart. Therefore, if your heart is empty of God’s words, your actions will be dominated by evil. That is why we are urged to protect our hearts. The Bible says, “Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the sources of life.”(Proverbs 4:23). Beloved, if you lose control of your heart, you have lost control of your life. So, guard your heart jealously with the words of God, because your life is a function of it. So, hide His words in your heart (Psalms 119:11). Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to hide your word in my heart as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
