Verse Of The Day : I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth! Psalms 121:1-2
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : God uses man to help fellow man, but that does not make man God to his fellow man, or gives him the right to be worshipped as God.
LISTEN : Your confidence in times of trouble depends on what or who you anchor your hope on. If your hope is in man, you will be disappointed when man fails you, but when your hope is in God He will not disappoint you no matter what. My dear, what takes your attention takes your heart; and what takes your heart controls your life. So, do not allow circumstances of life or the mighty to control your heart. Let God who is the creator of heavens and the earth control your heart. Friend, when people fail you, run to God. When everyone else abandons you, run to Him. No doubt, it hurts when no one offers to help you in times of troubles though, but God is willing to help you. My dear, when friends, relatives and acquaintances abandon you, put your trust in the living God. He truly cares about you (1 Peter 5:7). Therefore, no matter what happens, your eyes should be on Him, for He never disappoint anyone whose hope is on Him. Yes, it is important to put your trust in God, because, those who fixed their eyes on God by faith will conquer their fears and worries (Isaiah 56:11); overcome discouragement and depression (Isaiah 41:10) , gets revived (Isaiah 40:31), receive divine assistance and obtain victory over enemies (Psalms 144:1). So, when people fail you, seek God’s help. David said, “I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth!” (Psalms 121:1-2). Therefore, seek the help of God; His presence, exercise faith in Him and offer your prayers to Him. Trust me, He will answer your prayers. Be wise!

TOPIC : HE CALLS WE FOLLOW

Bible Verse : And he says unto them follow me and I will make you fishers of men Matt 4:19
LISTEN : Jesus Christ calls us to follow in serving God’s purpose for the kingdom. My dear, have you forgotten you are called to save the lost for Christ? Yes, we are called to proclaim the good news of the kingdom. As Jesus Christ begins His earthly ministry shortly after He ended his forty days fast in the wilderness. He encountered two brothers at the sea of Galilee, Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother as they were doing their normal fishing business, for they were fishermen. He said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (v.19). Beloved, Jesus called them so He could train them in winning souls to the kingdom of God. Upon hearing Him, they left all and followed Him. Jesus transformed them into useful instruments for the kingdom of God. He made them both earthly and heavenly useful. He changed them from fishermen to passionate soul winners. My dear, are you a Christian (a believer in Jesus Christ)? As a follower of Jesus Christ, have you won a soul to Him? If not, what are you waiting for? Do you know you are called to spread the gospel of the kingdom of God? So, be serious in the service of God for your reward awaits you at His coming. (Hebrews 6:10). So, remember to answer the call and do the work that you are called to do. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to answer your call and to do the work you have called me to do, amen.
