Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Proverbs 4:26

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : It is not possible to fall into a pit if we are wise and watchful.

LISTEN : Satan is out to ambush the unguarded. So, watch your life lest you fall into his pit, for no one can be established by recklessness or unrighteousness. The way of unrighteousness is shame, destruction, etc., but the path of righteousness is peace, promotion, life and the like (Proverbs 14:34). My dear, be wise. The wise watch before they leap. They think before they act. They ask questions before they draw up conclusions. They hear matters before they pass their verdicts. They are direct opposite of fools, who have nothing to do with wisdom or ponder the path they are taking (Proverbs 23:9 ; 27:12). My dear, ponder the path of your feet. To ponder is to think about something carefully, especially before making decision or reaching a conclusion. Sadly, lots of people do not care about their actions. They do not think through their planned actions to avert disaster or regret. Beloved, if you are careful about the path you take you cannot be swallowed by evil on the way. Surely, you cannot end up with heartbreak if you first ‘break your head’ thinking through a complex matter before taking decisions. Yes, it is not possible to fall into a pit if you are wise and watchful. The truth is, he or she who chooses not to watch his or her steps has chosen the path of failure and irredeemable misery. Friend, watch the path you take and you will live very secured. Be wise!

1. Do not be unwise, rather watch before you leap.
2. Examine your life regularly and make necessary changes.
3. Make room for the Spirit of God and listen to His leading without resistance.
4. Lean on God and obey His voice of counsel and warning.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to consider the path I take, and be delivered from evil. In Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Reflection : The wise watch before they leap. They think before they act and therefore, averts disasters.

Quote : “You cannot end up with heartbreak if you first break your head thinking through a complex matter before taking decisions.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I declare that I will examine my life and watch what I do to avoid disasters, amen.

Biblical Fact: Did you know Ai is the shortest name in the Bible? (Joshua 8:1).

Today In History : July 19, 1943 More than 150 B-17 and 112 B-24 bombers attack Rome for the first time.

Stunning Fact: Did you know Chameleons have long tongues which they rapidly extend from their mouth, too fast for human eyes to see properly.

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today, I speak wisdom on your life. Receive the grace to tread the path of righteousness, peace and victory. In Jesus ‘name, amen.

Bible Verse : Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God… 1 John 3:1

LISTEN : God’s love is sweet and wonderful. His love is immeasurable and beyond compare. He loves us even when we are soiled in iniquity. He cleansed our sins with the precious blood of His sinless son Jesus Christ, and therefore declares us “not guilty.” He judges, regards, and treats us as righteous and worthy of salvation and eternal life. Truly, only the love of God can justify sinners; and whom the Lord justifies no one can bring any charge against. If you accept Jesus Christ today you are a new person. Old things are passed away and all things are now new in your life. (2 Corinthians 5 :17). Beloved, God wants you to embrace and believe what Jesus Christ has done for you. He wants you to walk in faith and knowledge of your new identity. Never allow Satan or the guilt of the past to continue to condemn you. Your faith in Christ has made you whole and he (Jesus) is standing as your lawyer against every accusation (Romans 8:33-34). Remember, God loves you more than you can ever imagine. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD, I thank you because you love us. Help me to appreciate and reciprocate your love, in Jesus’ name, amen.
