Verse Of The Day : Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love its use will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Our words trigger death or life; but wisdom directs our words toward the path of life.

LISTEN : Our word triggers fear or gives hope to the hearers. Because Satan controls people’s hearts through fear, we should rather work with God who controls people’s hearts through faith. We do this by giving hope to the hopeless. The truth is, when the future becomes very uncertain, fear grips the heart of people. Hope disappears when the heart is overwhelmed by negative and fear-inducing thoughts and words. Today, the world is threatened by COVID-19 pandemic, and predictions point towards a dark future full of hardship and pain for all nations of the world. And lots of people no longer see anything good happening to them in many years to come due to what seems like endless miseries. No doubt, the world’s economy is in a grim situation, but not hopeless. Therefore, to overcome this hard times, you must be positive and full of faith and spread the message of faith and hope to others and not message of fear. My dear, there is power in words! Death and life are planted in the spirit of man by words. When you speak words of hope in what seems like a hopeless situation, you give people reason to live. But when you speak words that put fear in them, you just sponsored them to give up on life. So, learn to speak words of life and hope. Jesus said, “…The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. (John 6:63). Beloved, stop feeding on bad news and begins to feed on God’s word. God’s word produces faith, but bad news produces anxiety and fear. The truth is, we live by faith and die by fear. When your heart is full of faith in trying times, you do not panic like others who do not have faith, because you know that, faith does not deny fact, but changes facts. The fact is that, there is trouble in the world as a result of the pandemic. But faith changes the equation, knowing that God is in control. My dear, do not be afraid no matter what, for God will both protect and provide for you beyond your widest imagination. Be wise!

1. In times of trouble and uncertainty, speak words of hope and comfort to others.
2. No matter the circumstance, never spread message of fear but of hope.
3. To overcome the power of fear, do not give your ears to negative words and your heart to evil imaginations.
4. Always remain positive and hopeful that it will not get worse but gets better.

Prayer : Dear LORD, thank you for your words today. Help me to spread message of hope always. In Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Reflection : When you speak words of hope in what seems like a hopeless situation, you give people reason to live.

Quote : “He who chooses to stop feeding on bad news and begins to feed on God’s word will survive against all odds.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus ‘ name. I confess that fear brings death, but faith brings life. Therefore, I would grow my faith daily. In Jesus’ name.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Rachel, Jacob’s wife died after giving birth to Benjamin? (Genesis 35:18-19).

Today In History : July 18, 1877 Inventor Thomas Edison records the human voice for the first time.

Stunning Fact : Did you know a lobster’s blood is colorless but when exposed to oxygen it turns blue?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today I speak on your life. May you grow in faith and conquer your fears now and forever. In Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Bible Verse : I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

LISTEN: Our intimacy with Christ is key to fruit bearing in our walk with Him. Yes, Jesus is everything we need. He stated categorically that, His disciples can do nothing without Him. Which means that, to walk apart from Jesus Christ is to choose to fail. God wants us to be fruitful, that is, He wants us to produce good results and become abundantly productive. Therefore, we should abide in Him to achieve that purpose. God wants us to be productive for His kingdom. He wants us to impact lives around the world and turn them over to Him. Beloved, God’s desire for us is to faithfully serve Him by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world, and consistently live in line with His will. However, we cannot achieve all these until we have chosen to connect and commit ourselves to Him. Our Bible verse says, “I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). My dear, we can only draw our strength from God. Hence, when the believer is disconnected from Christ, it is practically impossible to achieve anything for the kingdom of God. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting God, I acknowledged that I can do nothing without Christ. Therefore, I surrender myself to you today, amen.
