Verse Of The Day : He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. Psalms 105:28

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : God’s power is supreme and fulfills His purposes without any successful resistance.

LISTEN : God Almighty is supreme, He does what he wants to do. His power fulfills His purpose without any successful resistance. Nothing and no one is too powerful to flout His orders and go unpunished. When God overlooks wickedness, it is because He wants the wicked to acknowledge their sins and come to repentance. God never send His wrath where His warnings have not visited. His punishment comes after disobedience. When the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites (God’s people) for a very long time, God ordered the king (Pharaoh) to let Israel go, but he would not. Therefore, God sent the plagues to invade the land of Egypt. God’s wrath was so severe on them and the Bible says, “He made it dark; they did not disobey his orders. He turned their water into blood, and killed their fish. Their land was overrun by frogs, which even got into the rooms of their kings. He ordered flies to come… He sent hail along with the rain… He ordered locusts to come, innumerable grasshoppers. They ate all the vegetation in their land, and devoured the crops of their fields. He struck down all the firstborn in their land. He brought his people out enriched with silver and gold. Egypt was happy when they left, for they were afraid of them.” (Psalms 105:28-38). Oh, what a mighty God! Beloved, I may not know what you are going through, but I know that God will fight for you if you can surrender to Him. Your enemies will be frustrated and desperate to let you go, because the wrath of God will not allow them to hold you down any longer. My dear, remember, God is supreme and does what He wants to do. Be wise!

TOPIC : IT MATTERS HOW YOU LIVE

Wednesday, July 15, 2020

Bible Verse : Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:15-17

LISTEN : Everyone who ever lives in the earth must give account of his or her life to God someday. There will be no excuses for living a reckless and unholy life. My dear, God wants us to live with wisdom. Without wisdom life will be miserable and tragic. Wisdom (the ability to apply relevant knowledge in an insightful way, or know and apply spiritual truth) is important to living wisely in a wicked world. The bible states categorically that, “Wisdom is the principal thing” (Proverbs 4:7); hence, no right thinking person can afford to live without wisdom. In Apostle Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians, he admonished them to live wisely and not foolishly in this ungodly generation. In the same way, we are to be very careful how we live, not as unwise but as wise people, taking advantage of every opportunity, knowing that the days are evil. We should live wisely by understanding what the will of God is in every situation. Beloved, use your time well, it is the greatest asset you need in order to have a blissful eternal future. (2 Corinthians 6:2). Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD, help me to live wisely as long as I live, amen.
