Verse Of The Day : For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : To a faithful servant of God whether dead or alive, nothing has changed because eternal life is sure.

LISTEN : The choice to follow Christ is a choice that would lead to life eternal. Dead or alive, the future of every true believer in Christ Jesus is eternally secured; for death cannot terminate God’s love for His people. Beloved, can you declare your unreserved loyalty to God? Can you be God’s, whether dead or alive? Are you truly glorifying God with your life? Assuming your life in this world is to expire today, can you be glad to go back home to God who created you? In our verse of the day Apostle Paul declared his unchanging resolve for God. He said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21). What does he mean by that? He was simply saying that he lives his life just to honour Christ to the glory of God. (Galatians 2:20). But if he dies, that would be better for him, because by then, he will be completely and forever united with Christ Jesus. To a true believer in Christ Jesus, death is an opportunity to exit the wicked world and transit to a better place. Yes, to a faithful servant of God whether dead or alive, nothing has changed because eternal life is sure. Beloved, are you truly living for God or just for self? To live just for yourself is to live for nothing. (Mark 8:36,37). For he who abandons God to pursue the world will eventually discover that he has laboured in vain. So, as you live, live for God and you will find yourself in Him when your life expires on the earth. Be wise!

1. No matter what, do not give up your faith for anything, rather, be strong in faith.
2. Do not live for yourself, instead, determine to live for God.
3. Never trade God for wealth or fame, because you will lose them without God.
4. Determine to live for God whether dead or alive.

Prayer : Dear Lord, I bless your name because Christ Jesus died for the salvation of the world. Help me to put my trust in you and serve you as long as I live, amen.

Reflection : To live at the expense of God in this life is to end with the devil in eternity.

Quote : “He who lives for God cannot trade Him for anything; but can give up anything and everything for Him”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that Jehovah is my God. I will serve and glorify Him with my life as long as I live, amen!

Biblical Fact : Did you know Abel was the first human to die on the earth? (Genesis 4:8).

Today In History : July 14, 1945 American battleships and cruisers bombard the Japanese home islands for the first time.

Stunning Fact : Did you know carrots contain 0% fat?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today I speak on your life. May your life be pleasing to God as you continue to serve Him, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

LISTEN: A choice to live by faith in a world full of troubles, is a choice to keep living in spite of unpleasant circumstances. Life is a “battle field; ” as a result, everyday casualty is recorded. However, you are not alone. God is with you. He will revive and refresh you with abundant life when the battle is over. (John 10:10b). My dear, be strong and learn to live by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor.5:7). To live by faith is to anchor your hope in God. It is to believe God for the impossible (Luke 1:37). Besides, it means to believe that whatever you are going through will soon be over. Henceforth, do not be distracted by what you are going through, instead, trust in the LORD and you will certainly receive divine intervention. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD, thank You for your word today. Help me to live by faith and not by sight, amen.
