Verse Of The Day : If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 Corinthians 15:19
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : It is disappointing and miserable to profess Christ, yet, anchor one’s hope only in this world.
LISTEN: Life is good, isn’t it? Truly it is, but life outside God is a mirage and a complete misappropriation of time and misuse of opportunity. My dear, life is short and the world is passing away, hence, to live just for this present life is to be eternally miserable. That is, to expect extreme pain, distress or woe in eternity. Beloved, are you a believer in Christ Jesus? Do you believe Jesus Christ beyond this present life? Do you believe Him beyond your quest for healing, miracle, job, marriage, conception, childbirth, health, etc.? As believers, we should cease to live ungodly lifestyles, or act wickedly towards others. We should walk in the fear of God, and have respect for human lives. We should not allow the so-called pleasures of this life take the place of God in our hearts. We should not give up on Christ or deny Him in the face of tribulations, persecution and trials. It is disappointing and miserable to profess love for Christ, yet, anchor one’s hope only in this world. Beloved, we should not limit our hope to this present world. It is quite unreasonable to serve God, but put our hope in this world. The Bible says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable ” (1Cor. 15:19). When you live just for what the world can offer, surely, you will be miserable hereafter. Therefore, learn to spend your time, energy, resources, etc., on things that have eternal value. Always hunger for God; for anyone who will wish for a blissful future with God must learn to consistently hunger for righteousness. (Matthew 5:6). Remember, if you are not living for God, then, your life is worthless. Be wise!
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW?
1. Never put your hope in this life because the world is not reliable.
2. Learn to spend your time, energy, resources, etc., on things with eternal values.
3. Do not give up on Christ or deny Him when faced with trials, instead, trust Him more and more.
4. Develop an unquenchable hunger for God and His word.
Prayer : Everlasting Father, You are loving and caring, and Your desire is to save humanity. Therefore, I would live in line with your will, now and forever, amen.
Reflection : Those who live just for what the world can offer, will be eternally miserable and endlessly tormented.
Quote : “Life outside God is a mirage and a complete misappropriation of time and misuse of opportunity.”
Faith Confession : Today, I confess that life, no matter how sweet is worthless without God. Therefore, I will follow God as long as I live, amen!
Biblical Fact : Did you know Noah is the son of Lamech? (Genesis 5 : 30).
Today In History : July 10, 1993 Kenyan runner Yobes Ondieki becomes the first man to run 10,000 meters in less than 27 minutes.
Stunning Fact : Did you know a chameleons tongue is twice the length of its body?
A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today I prophesy to you, may your hope not end in this life. May God destroy whatever will make your life miserable, in Jesus’ name, amen.
TOPIC : CHRIST DIED FOR LOVE OF HUMANITY
Friday, July 10, 2020
Bible Verse : But God has made clear his love for us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us. Romans 5:8
LISTEN: God’s love for the world took Jesus Christ to the cross. God gave him up willingly for us to be saved. (Romans 8:32). Jesus Christ bore the weight of our sins on the cross because God loves us. He died to save and bring us back to God. His death brings us spiritual and bodily healing (Isaiah 53:5). What a privilege! God loves us even when we rejected and hated Him; because He is not like human, He loves even the unlovable. The love of God is agape, the God kind of love. God’s kind of love bothers itself with the welfare of others and cares to assist unconditionally. Beloved, in Christ, God gave His all. He loved us and still loves us in spite of our sins and misdeeds. Hence, it will be unfair to reject his love which He demonstrated in Christ Jesus. Beloved, His love for us cost Him the very life of His Son, and through Jesus Christ, He gives us assurance of eternal life when we believe and stand with Him to the very end. (John 3:16). My dear, Jesus Christ died because He loves us, therefore, we should love God because Jesus Christ died for us. Be wise!
Prayer: Dear LORD, thank You for saving me through Your son Jesus Christ, amen.
