Verse Of The Day: Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a disgrace to any people Proverbs 14:34

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Righteousness comes with glory, but sin attracts disgrace.

LISTEN : Ladder aids upward movement. It is an intrument for reaching heights. Same applies to righteousness. My dear, do you desire to climb up? Do you want to rise and be sustained? Do you want the favour of God to take you where your labour cannot take you to? Do you desire to be exalted and not end up in shame? Then, determine to travel the right path – the path of righteousness. God blesses us when we walk in line with His will. When we walk in obedience to His word, He sets us on high, raises us up from the dungeon, and brings us into a large place. But when we choose to walk in disobedience to His will, we are sure to be disgraced and destroyed. Beloved, we are created in the image and likeness of God to be fruitful and multiply and to have dominion over the earth. (Genesis 1:27,28). Sadly, this authority and blessings were lost because of sin (disobedience) by Adam and Eve. (Genesis 3). The consequences of their sin resulted in lost of dominion and the right to live forever, had Christ not intervened through His death. They ate just a fruit but lost an entire garden of glory. That is what sin could do to anyone who chooses to live outside the will of God. Righteousness exalts, but sin brings reproach. Humanity was dragged into shame and sorrow because righteousness was undermined. Beloved, seek righteousness and abstain from sin. Jesus Christ has paid the price for your sin. Today, those who will keep a right standing with God will be saved and gloriously rewarded. Righteousness brings promotion ; and true promotion will locate us when we live to please God. Beloved, learn to say no to sin and never compromise your integrity. Avoid sin, for sin will surely reduce you to nothing, and deny you God’s blessings. Be wise!

1. Be sober and vigilant, and resist sin at all cost.
2. Surrender yourself to the Holy Spirit and trust Him to help you fight sin.
3. Determine to live wisely, faithfully and uprightly in the world.
4. Ask God to guide and keep you from falling into sin and disgrace.

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you for your words today. Help me to abstain from sin and to pursue righteousness, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : He who pursues after righteousness will arrive at God’s ordained destination ; but the wicked will perish on the way.

Quote : “The wise says no to sin and never compromise integrity, bearing in mind that, sin leads to disaster and strips a man of honour.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that righteousness brings promotion, but sin brings disgrace. Therefore, I will seek righteousness as long as I live, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Lazarus of Bethany is a brother to Mary and Martha? (John 11:1).

Today In History : July 4, 1946 The United States grants the Philippine Islands their independence.

Stunning Fact : Did you know camels have 3 eyelids to protect themselves from blowing sand?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today I speak on your life. May God break the yoke of sin in your life and give you grace to do His will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Sanctify them by your truth; your word is truth John 17:17

LISTEN : Take God’s word and be cleansed. Every man in his natural state is a sinner, but Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection cleansed our sins and sets us free from Satan. The word of God produces what we need to be cleansed and dedicated to God. His word guarantees the cleansing we need to connect to Him. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. He is the ultimate truth. Jesus Christ prays to His Father to sanctify his disciples with the truth, the Word of God. That is, to make them pure and cleanse them from sin. (1Th 5:23;1Co 6:11). Truly, sanctification in the life of the believer is progressive. Through the word the believer is made to become more like Christ and less attached to the world of sin. When we study and appreciate God’s word, it will separate us from sin, provoke dedication and consecration; gives freedom (John 8:32), etc. My dear, God’s word is our weapon against sin and Satan. So, learn to both eat and use it. (Psalms 119:11) . Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, feed me with your words and cleanse my sin, amen.
