Verse Of The Day : Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see the LORD’s majesty. Isaiah 26:10 (NHEB)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : The wicked never see any good in a favour, but sees yet another opportunity to wreck havoc.

LISTEN : The wicked hates righteousness. Yes, to him or her, righteousness does not exist. When he or she receives a favour, rather than appreciate it, he or she uses it as a weapon against the giver. In fact, to them, wickedness is a normal life. The truth is, wickedness discourages people from being good to others. However, as believers in Christ we must keep doing good to others. My dear, do you think kindness is not worth it? Have you made the decision to stop being nice and doing good to people because of that? Please think again! My dear, God wants you to behave differently. He wants you to be godly and God-fearing. Never expect everyone to be nice to you the same way you are to them. Many people have sold their souls to the devil. Therefore, no matter your goodness and love to them, they will want to pay you evil for good. Our verse of the day says, “Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see the LORD’s majesty.” (Isaiah 26:10). Beloved, the wicked do not have the fear of God in their heart, and therefore will find it difficult to live right. Favour does not change anyone who is determined to be wicked. So, whatever you do for anyone, do it as unto God. Only God can reward your goodness. Do not be tired of doing good. (Galatians 6:9). If you stop doing good because of people’s bad attitude to you, you will lose the reward of goodness and suffer the same fate with the wicked. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do good to everyone not minding who appreciates you or not, for God will reward you.
2. Never stop to do good just because you were hurt, rather do it as unto the Lord.
3. Do not pay back evil for evil, rather keep doing good all the same.
4. Never expect everyone to be nice to you the same way you are to them.

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you for your words today. I know I am living in a wicked world, therefore, help me to overcome evil and always live in line with your will, amen.

Reflection : He who expects every beneficiary of his favour to reciprocate, would wait forever.

Quote : “No expression of favour changes the wicked who is determined to progress with wickedness. To him, wickedness is a normal way of life.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus ‘ name. I declare that, no matter the evil in the world, I will not stop doing good, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Lot’s two daughters gave birth to Moab and Ammon? (Genesis 19:36-38).

Today In History : July 2, 1967 The U.S. launches Operation Buffalo in Vietnam.

Bible Verse : For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

LISTEN: Faith is the lifestyle of the righteous. The righteous wins and lives by faith. Faith is his weapon against Satan. When Satan comes, he comes to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10). His intention is to leave his victims miserable and heartbroken. Beloved, did you know when something unpleasant or tragic happens to you, the devil’s intentions is to see you give up on life and die unfulfilled? But I have good news for you, it is not yet over with you, God is still working for you behind the scenes ; and the raging battles of your life will soon be over as you call on God for intervention. (Psalms 18:3). Beloved, you are not alone. God is with you. Be strong and learn to live by faith, not by sight. Faith is the way to victory. To live by faith is to anchor your hope in God. It is to believe God for everything (Luke 1:37). Besides, it means to believe that whatever you are going through will soon be over. Therefore, do not be distracted by what you see around you, instead, trust in the LORD and He will deliver you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to live by faith always, in Jesus’ name.
