Verse Of The Day : As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men… Galatians 6:10
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Selfishness makes a man to think and see himself as the only person entitled to good things of life.
LISTEN : On a daily basis we see people who are suffering and struggling with life. And we are selfish, insensitive and too busy to recognise their plight or offer to help. My dear, it is inhumane to be insensitive to the plight of others. Everything in life is a seed, and we reap what we sowed (Galatians 6:7). Couple of months ago, I told a story of a man whose life is characterised by busyness. He never had time for anyone, but only for his own business. His life was crowded with activities that he became so insensitive to the needs and plight of others. One day, he was travelling to a certain city, and was flagged down by a man who was wounded by armed robbers but escaped the armed robbery attack on the same road he was travelling on. And because he was a very busy man who never cares about others, he refused to stop but rather, accelerated his speed. Not quite a long distance from the point he was flagged down by the wounded man, the armed robbers attacked his car. As he was struggling to escape they shot him and he died. He wouldn’t have ended up that way had he shown a little kindness to the wounded man. Yes, when welfare of others doesn’t matter to you, yours won’t matter to God. Lots of people are like the man in our story. They are too selfish and busy that the lives of others don’t matter to them (see Luke 10:25-37). They are too busy, selfish and insensitive to recognise opportunities to help others. My dear, don’t be too busy, selfish and insensitive to the plight of others. Make everyday count in your life because God is counting on you. Be wise!
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO WITH THIS MESSAGE?
1. No matter how busy you are, do not ignore opportunities to help others.
2. Never allow what you do to prevent you from doing what God expects of you.
3. Never close your eyes to the needs of others, instead, seize the opportunity to help them.
4. Henceforth, shun laziness, be busy with your life, but do not be too busy for others.
Prayer : Almighty God! You are good to me. Therefore, let me not be too busy to help others or be blinded to their plight, amen.
Reflection : Selfishness is a disease that only the sufferer of the disease can genuinely cure.
Quote : “When the welfare of others becomes a huge burden in our hearts, we can no longer be selfish, insensitive and too busy to help.”
Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God is not too busy to take care of His creation. Therefore, I will not be too busy to help others as long as I live, amen.
Biblical Fact : Did you know Absalom conspired with the Israelites to dethrone his father David? (2 Samuel 15:13-14).
Today In History : July 31, 0940 Arabs capture Thessalonica.
Stunning Fact : Did you know Brazil covers 50% of the South America continent?
A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. May God make you a solution provider. And may your life be a living testimony as long as you live, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins… Acts 2:38
LISTEN : A call to repentance is a call to a new life. To the repentant, old things are passed away. Why? Because true repentance attracts forgiveness. Repentance according to the Bible is, “to change one’s mind.” (Romans 12:2). It means to turn to God and turn from evil. To truly repent, God needs to change your mind about sin. The Bible says “You who love the LORD, hate evil!” (Psalms 97:10). Beloved, true repentance happens when we see sin as God sees it. Until we treat sin as sin, repentance has not yet occurred in our lives. True repentance pleads with God to forgive and deliver from the influence of sin and the fear of eternal judgment and hell. Until we realise the consequences of sin and the need for our escape, we will continue to pamper sin to our own hurt; but when we repent, we are blessed with eternal life. My dear, open your heart to the will of God. Heed His warnings and run for your dear life. Repent and come to Him by faith and be blessed today, for a bit of delay could be disastrous. Remember, this is time to return to God and be saved. Until you are saved you are not safe. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I repent of my sin today. Help me to live the rest of my life to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name, amen.
