Verse Of The Day : Dearly beloved, I plead to you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. 1 Peter 2:11

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : He who finds it difficult to live wisely will have it easy to die foolishly.

LISTEN : “Son, live wisely or be prepared to die a miserable death.” says a man to his stubborn son. Talking to believers in Christ Jesus, Apostle Peter pleaded with them to abstain from evil, knowing that they have been redeemed by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He emphasised that they should know that, they are strangers in the world. This message is for us all. We are strangers in this world and should act as one. As strangers, we should be conscious of our real home (eternity), knowing that we are just temporary occupants here. This demands that we live wisely. Yes, wise living prevents a miserable end. It is not possible to end like a fool when you walk with the heart of wisdom. Wisdom is a shield that keeps the wise from avoidable disasters. The Bible says, For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom gives life to them that have it. (Ecclesiastics 7:12). My dear, it is tragic to be empty of wisdom. To be empty of wisdom is to be empty of life. Sadly, people without true wisdom takes this world as their own property and permanent aboard. They fail to realise that, we all are strangers and pilgrims in this world and will soon be gone. Friend, do not be deceived by the fleeting pleasures of this life, instead, be wise how you live, because how you live today will determine where you will be in eternity. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” Wait for the LORD, so that he may vindicate you. Proverbs 20:22

LISTEN: God is the God of vengeance. He says we should live vengeance for Him. My dear, why seek private revenge instead of seeking God’s vindication? The bible says, ”Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” That is , do not do an injury to one that has done one to you. The Bible commands that private revenge is not to be taken, but should be left to God, to whom vengeance belongs. You should learn to wait on the Lord, and He shall save you; commit yourself and cause to God; leave it with Him to avenge your wrongs, and wait His own time to do you justice. He will at the proper season, and in His own way, save you from your enemies, and make a righteous retribution to them (your enemies). The word of God declares, “Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free” (Proverbs 11:21). Beloved, do not waste your time seeking revenge, instead, seek the will and help of God. For when God avenges you, you will truly be victorious. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I know You are God. Help me to leave vengeance to You, in Jesus’ name, amen!
