Verse Of The Day : David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him,… but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Endlessly bothering yourself with your problem makes you to keep magnifying it.

LISTEN : Understanding life through divine wisdom gives you the advantage to face life courageously. Yes, life is full of trials (Job 14:1), and no matter how much you try to avoid it you will certainly face it sooner or later. It does happen to the poor the same way it happens to the rich. Both the strong and the weak share in these ordeals. Therefore, we should learn to be strong and courageous in the face of trials. Beloved, when someone breaks your heart what would you do? When your marriage is not working, what would you do? When you are sick and weak, or threatened by death, what would you do? When you are afraid and worried about the future, what would you do? When your world seems to be falling apart, what would you do? Cry, complain and groan, right? Of course not! Determine to encourage yourself in God. Tell yourself that all hope is not lost. Remind yourself that God is able and willing to help you. Do not hesitate to run to Him. In our Bible verse, David did not hesitate to run to God when his life was threatened by his army when they grieved for members of their families, who were captured in Ziglag by the Amalekites. (1 Samuel 30:1,2). When everyone lost hope, David built his hope in God. He asked God for solutions and he got it. (1 Samuel 30:7,8,17-19). Beloved, stop bothering yourself with your problems and magnifying them; instead, begin to fix your eyes on God and your problems will receive a divine intervention. Never allow circumstances to bend your head towards frustration, instead look up for divine help. Remember, this is not time to give up on life, but to keep hope alive. Be wise!

Bible Verse : He said: “I love you, LORD, my source of strength! Psalms 18:1

LISTEN: The greatest thing we can ever do for God is to love Him with all our hearts and all we’ve got. My dear, can you sincerely declare your love for God? Can you be proud to declare to your family members, colleagues, friends, the society and the world your loyalty and unfeigned love for God? (Joshua 24:15). David spake unto the LORD these words the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He declares his love for God and ascribes his victories to Him. David calls God “my strength.” He acknowledges that he is powerless and nothing without God. He knows that he overcomes his enemies not by his battle skills, sophisticated weapons, intelligence, or trusted allies, but through the power of God. Sadly, a lot of people often ascribe their victories and successes to humans or “deities.” They fail to acknowledge God as their source of strength. Their love is in something or someone else. Beloved, do you love God? Is He the source of your strength? Like David, can you continuously declare your love for God? Let us declare our love for Him as the strength of our lives. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I love you and will always do, amen!
