Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets. Matthew 7 :12 (NET)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Sooner or later God will treat us the way we treated others.

LISTEN : Love is a godly treat. There is no better way to treat people than to treat them with love. The love you give should be measured by the amount of love you expect from others. No doubt, you want to be treated with respect, love, etc. That is how others want to be treated too. However, no one can possibly walk in this realm until he or she walks in God’s kind of love (agape). Genuine love is unconditional. My dear, people deserve nothing but love. Don’t you think people deserve some respect, kindness, support, encouragement, care and love? Beloved, what is good for you could be good for others. Give it to them! Do you like to be loved? Love others. Do you like to be respected? Respect others. Do you want to be favoured? Favour others. Do you hate your heart to be broken? Do not break the heart of others. Our verse of the day says, “In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 7:12). God is interested in the way we treat others, and He will eventually treat us the same way we have treated others. When you value yourself and devalue other people, you mock God who created everyone in His own image and likeness. So, treat others as you would want them to treat you. Remember, there is no better way to treat others than to give them genuine love. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Be fair to others and treat them as you would want them to treat you.
2. Do good to others, knowing that you are doing it to God who will reward you accordingly.
3. Never treat anyone the way you would never want to be treated.
4. No matter your position or status, learn to honour and respect others.

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and kindness towards humanity. Help me to love and be kind to others, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Treating others the way you do not want to be treated would cease if you walk in the fear of God.

Quote : “When you treat others like trash, you mock God who created everyone in His own image and likeness.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God created everyone in His own image and likeness. Therefore, I will love everyone, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know the name Moses was given to him by Pharaoh’s daughter? (Exodus 2:10).

Today In History : June 22, 1933 Adolf Hitler bans political parties in Germany other than the Nazis.

A Word Of Blessing: It is well with you. Today I speak on your life. May the love of God for humanity trigger you to love others the same way God loves them, in Jesus’ name, amen.

EVENING

TOPIC : GOD PROVIDES FOR US

Monday, June 22, 2020

Bible Verse : But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19

LISTEN: God is our Father and Provider. He created us and knows what we need, and will provide us with our needs. God will not leave us destitute, He will surely provide for us. No doubt, we do labour and make investments, but God is the one who gives the increase. If God does not bless the works of our hands they cannot prosper. God has given us the assurance of divine provision. If we can ask Him for it He will supply us with the necessary provisions. (Matthew 7:7,8). We must learn to trust Him with our daily needs and be confident that He will not forsake us. His supply includes all our needs, not just some needs. God is the source of all good gifts and provisions. (James 1:17). Whatever we achieved, we achieved by grace, not by our strength. Beloved, think deep and you will realise that God’s hand is in everything. Do you know that even the smallest piece of bread you just ate could be traceable to God? So, stop worrying about what to eat, drink or wear, instead, trust God to honour the works of your hands. He will surely bless you with divine provisions. Remember, He is the great provider. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are my provider. I will serve and worship You forever, amen!
