Verse Of The Day : For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Faith cripples fear and suffocates it when there is confidence in the infallible word of God.

LISTEN : Faith cripples fear. Yes, fear cannot stand the threat of faith. Fear will die when faith grows in our hearts. Faith grows when our hearts are anchored on the infallible word of God. Beloved, there will be no room for fear if we are rooted in faith in God. Fear roars like the lion where the voice of faith is silent. But when faith speaks, fear melts away. Therefore, let us rise in faith. Believers in Christ Jesus are equipped with uncommon strength for battles of life. However, we may not enjoy the fulness of this divine help if we refuse to obey God and believe what He says about us. As children of God, we have received the spirit of glory from Him. Therefore, we should walk in the glory and power of God. We should accept who He says we are in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Beloved, until you believe what God says about you, you will walk in fear, live in intimidation and be tormented by the devil all your life. The Bible says, “For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7). God has blessed us with special abilities to live and overcome the wicked world. We are created in Christ Jesus to be very confident and fearless before danger, and to trust in God. Beloved, we have divine authority to trample on Satan and his agents ; and to walk in love towards others. Besides, we should walk in self-control. We should have control over our feelings and actions and walk within what God approves. My dear, rise in faith lest troubles of this life ruin your life. Henceforth, determine to operate in faith and the devil will be dislodged. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Be angry and sin not; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger. Do not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:26-27

LISTEN: Anger is a major problem in the world. People often suffer pain and harm because of the inability to overcome spirit of anger and bitterness. What is anger? It is to make (someone) angry. It is a feeling of being upset or annoyed because of something wrong or bad. This feeling makes someone want to hurt other people, shout at them, or do other hurtful actions to them. Beloved, offenses will surely come, but you have a choice to react wisely. When you allow anger to take root in your heart it will lead to resentment and taking decisions against the will of God. When you fail to overcome spirit of anger, it will lead you into more troubles. (Eccles 7:9). Therefore, we should follow what God has done for us through Christ Jesus. God forgave us through His Son Jesus Christ. Hence, we are to extend same to others when they hurt us. God did not say we should not be angry at all, but that we should not allow anger to drag us to sin. The Bible says, “Do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.” (v.26b). The meaning of which is, do not carry around grudges and resentment, instead, commit all to God. So, let us deal with anger and not spread it. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to deal with spirit of anger, amen!
