Verse Of The Day : The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2 :2
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Godly culture is preserved when it is passed on to others who will keep passing it on to others.
LISTEN : What you have or have done cannot continue unless there are people to help you keep it going. In the same way, no values or beliefs can ever be preserved except it is committed to others who will in turn pass it on to others. No people can preserve their values and culture except it is passed on to upcoming generations. When the link between present generation and upcoming ones is severed, values, culture and identity will be lost. In the same way, if a generation of believers cannot pass on Christian values and culture to upcoming generation of Christians, the new generation will find it hard to put their faith in God. (Psalms 78:2-7). Christianity today seems to have lost the fervour and zeal of the early church because, Christians are slack in passing on core values and norms of the Christian faith. When we pass on what we have received from Jesus Christ about the kingdom of God, the world will be won to God. Beloved, have you heard the word of God? Please pass it on! Apostle Paul said to Timothy, “The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2). Friend, do not keep the gospel to yourself. It is meant to be shared, so pass it on. We owe our own generation and the upcoming ones the gospel of the kingdom of God. Let us keep passing it on and save as much as we can save. The truth is, we got the gospel because someone passed it on us. Therefore, as you read this devotional today, endeavour to pass it on to others. Remember, you can preserve nothing if there is no one helping to sustain it when you are gone. Be wise!
Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. When you hear or read the gospel of Christ Jesus, pass it on to others.
2. Whatever you do today, consider upcoming generations and pass on the gospel to them.
3. Determine to spread the gospel of the kingdom of God within your capacity.
4. Encourage others to accept the gospel of Christ Jesus and to put their faith in God.
Prayer : Almighty God! I thank You for Your word is true. Therefore, help me to receive Your word and pass it on to others, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Reflection : Nothing is preserved unless it is passed on to future generations. For when the godly link between present generation and upcoming ones is severed, godly values, culture and identity will be lost.
Quote : “Life takes the form of a relay race; nothing is won unless we run together. And nothing could be achieved unless we keep passing the baton on to others.”
Faith Confession : In Jesus ‘ name, I confess that as I receive the gospel of Christ, I will pass it on to others until the world is full of the knowledge of God, amen.
Biblical Fact : Did you know Moses was 40 years old when he killed an Egyptian? (Acts 7:23-24).

TOPIC : GOD’S GRACE IS ENOUGH
Wednesday, June 17, 2020
Bible Verse : Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Ephesians 6:24 (KJV)
LISTEN: God’s grace is enough for us. My dear, the grace of God is His favour to you. He lavishes it on those who serve Him in sincerity. God has never left His faithful followers without grace. His grace keeps His people going when everything threatens them. His grace or favour is the extra energy or strength given for every battle we (His people) might face. A genuine relationship with Christ will bring God’s grace (favour) to you. Favour will follow you when God becomes your priority. The Bible says, “But seek all of you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). God owns the world, and when you honour and worship Him faithfully He can command anything or anyone to work in your favour. (Psalms 24:1). Though God’s grace is undeserved when it comes to salvation by faith through Christ; but He limits certain privileges to those who have accepted His only begotten Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (John 1:12). Only those who have accepted Jesus are given the power to become sons and daughters of God who should have access to eternal life, divine protection, divine provisions, divine health, etc. Beloved, are you part of God’s family? If not, embrace Jesus Christ and become a citizen of God’s kingdom today. Remember, life without God’s grace will eventually end in disgrace. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, I receive Your grace and will continue to grow in faith, amen!
