Verse Of The Day : Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him. Psalms 12:5

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: You cannot be lost in the ocean of trouble or endlessly oppressed by the devil when God is your God.

LISTEN : Day and night God sees the miseries and gnashing of teeth of the oppressed. He listens to their day to day groaning and acts of wickedness meted out to them. (Exodus 3:7). Though, sometimes it may seem like He is taking too long to intervene, surely, He will eventually intervene. (Luke 18:7,8). He will certainly break the yoke of oppression in the neck of the oppressed. Beloved, are you oppressed physically, mentally, or spiritually? Have you been unfairly and cruelly treated? Is your heart broken and pierced with sadness or memories of afflictions and oppressions? Are you terrified because of increase of oppression in your life? Do not be afraid; God will deliver you from your oppressors. The Bible says, “Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.” (Psalms 12:5). God is the voice of the voiceless, defender of the vulnerable ; and hope of the hopeless. With Him, no oppressor is too powerful to be subdued. When the oppressed surrenders to God, his or her battle becomes God’s battle. When God arises to defend His own, the oppressor will become the oppressed; and those who intend to cause harm to God’s children will harm themselves instead. Beloved, cheer up! God will surely arise to defend you. Remember, no matter the stronghold of Satan against your life, God will surely come for you. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not lose hope no matter what, instead, pray fervently to God in all situations.
2. Never forget to commit your problems to God and expect Him to answer.
3. Commit your heartbreak and unfair treatment to God and never rest until He hears you.
4. Believe you are free from oppressions, and begin to think like a victor henceforth.

Prayer : Precious Father! You are God of the afflicted and oppressed. Deliver me from afflictions and oppressions and make me a conqueror, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : God saves those who cannot save themselves. He is the hope of the hopeless and solution to impossible situations.

Quote : “God makes oppressors become the oppressed when the cry of the oppressed comes to Him.”

Faith Confession : Dear Lord, I have hope in You because You are God of the oppressed. I surrender my miseries to You today, amen!

Biblical Fact : Did you know Jesus Christ is referred to as the bread of life? (John 6:35).

Today In History : June 15, 1896 Tsunami strikes Shinto festival on beach at Sanriku, Japan; 27,000 are killed, 9,000 injured and 13,000 houses destroyed

Stunning Fact : Did you know Chameleons have long tongues which they rapidly extend from their mouth, too fast for human eyes to see properly.

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Today I speak on your life. May God turn away your captivity. May He make your oppressors the oppressed, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Verse Of The Day : I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me. Psalms 13:6

LISTEN : God is good, and His mercy endures forever. (Psalms 136:1-25). He is good to all both young and old. No one can deny His goodness to humanity. He created the sun to give heat (warmth) and lighten the day, the moon to lighten the night. Rain to water our vegetations and to produce food enough to sustain us. He blesses us with many water sources. Above all, He blesses us with life. Beloved, your life today is God’s goodness to you. So, never take it for granted, instead, acknowledge and appreciate God no matter what. If you can praise God for what He has done for you no matter how little, He will do the unimaginable for you. David understands how reasonable it is to reciprocate God’s goodness, and he said, “I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me.” (Psalms 13:6). Beloved, is God not good to you? If He is, then sing and honour Him for His goodness in your life today. Remember, if you glorify God for His goodness He will beautify you with His kindness. Be wise!

Prayer : Almighty God! Thanks for your goodness. Help me to appreciate, serve and worship you as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
