Verse of The Day : And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Life is sweet and will be sweeter with God; for the sweetness of life is hidden in God.

LISTEN : Knowing God and His son Jesus Christ will eventually lead to eternal life. Eternal life is the life of bliss that lasts forever. Imagine an opportunity to live forever in wealth and total bliss, and to live in wealth and influence just for a short time. Which would you prefer, living forever right? This simply means that, there is no true life outside of God. Life’s real meaning can only be found in God. Yes, no matter the amount of wealth we have in this life without Christ the wealth is a waste. Life without God is nothing but a postponed doom – enjoy today and suffer endlessly tomorrow; be happy today and be sad and tormented forever. Friend, is that what you want? To be eternally tormented? The Bible says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36). Beloved, God’s desire for you is to live forever in total bliss. Isn’t that interesting? So, always remember that you have no life without God. Therefore, labour to obtain eternal life and your life will not be a waste after your journey in this life. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, care you not that we perish? Mark 4 : 38

LISTEN: Are you wondering if God does feel your pain, sorrow and afflictions? Do you think He has abandoned you to perish in your troubles? Beloved, God knows about your troubles and cares about you. (Jeremiah 29 : 11). That He is silent does not mean He has forsaken you. His delay does not mean He has denied your requests. Beloved, do not be afraid. When you walk with Jesus Christ, you are not permitted to live in fear. Fear will blind your eyes to the presence of God even when He is closer to you. It will cause you to think as though, God does not care about your pain and troubles. That was the same way Jesus Christ’s disciples reacted when they were attacked by a heavy storm in the sea. (see Mark 4 : 37 – 40). Though, they were in the same boat with Jesus when the storm was raging, yet, their lack of faith could not permit them to know that they were safe because Jesus Christ was in their midst; instead, they accused Jesus of negligence. They said, “Master, do you not care that we perish?” (v. 38) They spoke to him as if he was not bothered about their troubles. However, he arose and rebuked the storm and it was arrested. This is how most of us think when faced with troubles. We believe that God does not care about us. Beloved, do not panic, rather keep calm, God truly cares about you. He will deliver you, rebuke your storm, and calm your troubled heart. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you care about me. Deliver me from my troubles, amen!
