Verse Of The Day : Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Matthew 7 : 21
THOUGHT OF THE DAY : Pretense hides the real nature of a thing, but sooner or later the real thing will expose pretense.
LISTEN : Stop the pretense and be real to your profession of faith in Christ Jesus. No one can create eternal and blissful future by pretense. It is either you come real or you leave it. Pretense may get you your heart desires, but trust me, it would eventually rob you of everything. Pretense in this context is an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true. My dear, time exposes pretense. So, come real with God. God promises wonderful rewards to those who would love, obey and serve Him faithfully. But we must get it right to be right with God. My dear, be wise and get it right lest you lose your reward in the end. If you claim to serve God, serve Him in spirit and in truth. Be real to your claims. Do not call Jesus Christ your Lord, yet, you disobey His will. It is the height of foolishness and self-deception to claim to believe in Jesus Christ when your heart is with the world and Satan. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). This means that, no matter your titles or contributions to the things of God, if you refuse to obey His words He has no business with you. My dear, life outside God is life in hell. And those who live for themselves will eventually lament their torment in hell. The Bible says, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelations 20:15). Beloved, have you made Jesus Christ your Saviour and Lord? Are you following His instructions? If not, fix it right away. Remember, you do not have a relationship with God if you enjoy to disobey His words. So, get it right now, or you will lose your rewards and be denied of eternal life in the end. Be wise!
Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

Reflection : No one can create an eternal and blissful future by pretense. It is either you come real with God or you leave it.

Bible Verse : Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him. Psalms 12:5
LISTEN : God defends the defenseless and speaks for the voiceless. My dear, God will surely rescue you even when it appears impossible. He will not abandon the oppressed and afflicted. He sees the miseries and gnashing of teeth of the oppressed. He listens to their day to day groaning. (Exodus 3:7). Though, sometimes it may seem like He is taking too long to intervene, surely, He will eventually intervene. (Luke 18:7,8). He will certainly break the yoke of oppression in the neck of the oppressed. My dear, that is God’s word for you today. Are you oppressed physically, mentally, or spiritually? Have you been unfairly and cruelly treated? Is your heart broken and pierced with sadness or memories of afflictions and oppressions? Are you terrified because of increase of oppression in your life? Do not be afraid; God will deliver you from your oppressors. The Bible says, “Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.” (Psalms 12:5). God is the voice of the voiceless, defender of the vulnerable ; and hope of the hopeless. With Him, no oppressor is too powerful to be subdued. When you acknowledge God and surrender to Him, your battle becomes His battle and victory is sure. Be wise!
Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank You because you never neglect the oppressed. Therefore, come to my rescue, in Jesus’ name, amen.
