Verse Of The Day : God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : There are no better ways to deal with death and Satan than for Jesus Christ to sacrifice his life.

LISTEN : The sinless Jesus Christ willingly paid the ‘debt’ of sinful man. What a wonderful way to express the Father’s love! Beloved, isn’t that interesting? To really appreciate what I am saying, imagine being punished for a crime you did not commit. How would you feel? Bad, right? Conversely, Jesus Christ felt differently when he died for us on the cross. He felt fulfilled when he dealt with Satan, sin and death. Death is the greatest tragedy of humanity. It has been a huge threat to human existence. It is the major source of human miseries, pains and sorrow. Whenever it strikes, it leaves its victims helpless, and the living are thrown into mourning and heartbreak. No tribe, race or people in human history have not tasted the bitter pills and venom of death. The great and small, poor and rich, strong and weak ; young and old, whites and blacks alike, have been stung by death at one point or the other. However, the death of Jesus Christ restored hope to humanity. Though, Jesus’s experience on the cross was not palatable, but that was the only appeasement and atonement for sin God can truly honour. It was necessary for Him to die for us to be forgiven, redeemed and saved. Beloved, it is really surprising, yet thrilling, that the sinless Son of God should die for sinful man. He died to save even the vilest of sinners. Amazingly, His death pleased the LORD. What a privilege to have the sinless Son of God take our place on the cross! He knows no sin, yet, He died for our sake to redeem and restore us back to God. Therefore, I am happy to inform you that no sinner is too sinful to be saved. All depends on you. You can either seize or miss the opportunity to be saved today. (Luke 23:39-41; 2 Corinthians 6:2). Remember, Jesus Christ dealt with sin by his death and he can as well set you free today. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Receive Jesus Christ today as your Lord and Saviour without delay.
2. Confess every known sin to God and forsake them as quickly as possible.
3. Exercise faith in God henceforth and give yourself away to His service.
4. Never miss the opportunity to be saved today, rather seize it now.

Prayer : Merciful God. I thank you for your mercy and love towards me. I know that Jesus died for me, therefore, help me to embrace and serve Him for the rest of my life, amen.

Reflection : A sinner can never die in sin if he acknowledges what a Saviour he has in Jesus Christ and the power of his death.

Quote : “Christ was sacrificed to save and sanctified man. Therefore, man should sacrifice to serve God.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God gave up His Son Jesus Christ for my sake. Therefore, I will serve and worship Him as long as I live, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know God changed the name of Abraham’s wife from Sarai to Sarah? (Genesis 17:15)

Today In History : June 3, 1965 Astronaut Edward White becomes the first American to walk in space when he exits the Gemini 4 space capsule.

Stunning Fact : Did you know the naming of tropical storms and hurricanes officially began in 1953?

Bible Verse : Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of man comes. Mathew 25:13

LISTEN: My dear, watch for the return of Christ to the world. A fool will take the message of Christ’s second coming as a fairy tale (2 Peter 3:3-11). The second coming of Jesus Christ to the world will shock the people of the earth. His coming will be a mixture of joy and sorrow. Joy to God’s children, and sorrow to the unfaithful and wicked (Daniel 12:1,2). His second coming will break the hearts of many, but put smiles on the faces of those who faithfully served God. Beloved, Jesus Christ will certainly return to judge the wicked world (Acts 17:30,31). He will judge the world in righteousness. Those who received Him would not be condemned, but those who rejected Him are condemned already. Beloved, are you prepared for His return? Do you know that He will come to the world unannounced? Our verse of the day says, “Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of man comes.”(Mathew 25:13). Friend, our duty is to watch and wait for His return. We should guard against temptation by watching our actions, activities, conducts, evil trends, etc. We should be careful not to follow the world’s way of corruption and sin. We should guard against anything that would keep us from eternal life. My dear, be watchful; because he who misses eternal life would be doomed forever. Remember, Jesus Christ is coming back any moment from now. So, prepare for his return. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I believe in the second coming of Christ Jesus. Therefore, I would live wisely, amen.
