Verse Of The Day : If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change comes. Job 14:14 (UJKV)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : When hope is sustained in a hopeless situation, hopelessness gradually changes to a turning point.

LISTEN : When Job lost everything to temptation, his statement in our verse of the day above implies that, “Everything is going to be alright.” My dear, no matter the stress and uncertainty of your life, everything is going to be alright. A stranger met a depressed man who was apparently consumed by worries and asked him, “Sir, why are you like this? Don’t you love your life?” The depressed man replied, “Life you said? Do I have a life? I lost my life the day I lost my only son and my business to fire disaster.” “So sorry!” The stranger said. Furthermore, he said, “Sir, I know you are meeting me for the first time. But can I be your friend? I understand perfectly what you are going through because I had been there. I lost my entire family members several years ago to a ghastly autocrash. I thought my world had come to an end until a man told me what to do to overcome. I did just that, and today, I am a happy man with a family.” In curiosity the depressed man said,” Please tell me what you did and I will do just that.” With a smile the stranger said, “To experience a turnaround in your present situation, you must do the following : 1). Determine never to give up on life. 2). Know that, if you die now you have accomplished nothing. 3). Acknowledge that, if you die in this situation you have lost everything. 4). Fix what you can fix and leave what you cannot fix to God. 5). Wait for the salvation of the LORD. 6). Encourage yourself in God and move on with your life.” The depressed man heed the advice. Few years later, God turned around his situation. My dear, I know you are the one God is talking to right now. Please do not hurt yourself. God sees your predicaments and will surely deliver you (1 Peter 5:7). Determine to live no matter what. For if you are determined to live in spite of your situation, you will surely outlast your troubles. Be wise!

Verse Of The Day : Great peace have they which love your law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165

LISTEN : You can enjoy the peace of God. Yes, the seed of peace is planted in your heart the day you decide to obey the word of God; because there is no peace for the wicked. Peace is priceless and wonderful. Nothing is secured where peace is absent. Prosperity and development thrive in the ‘soil of peace.’ Sadly, peace has become a rare commodity in the world today because of wickedness of men. Many are driven by selfishness and greed, as a result, they can do anything to achieve their selfish aims, including instigating crisis and war. They enjoy crisis and war, and forget that loss of peace can result in loss of life. Absence of peace will create insecurity, fear, anxiety, etc. However, in a world of evil and wickedness, lovers of God can still find peace. When the world cannot find peace because of troubles, lovers of God can experience abundant peace in the midst of troubles. Beloved, peace is possible in Christ Jesus. Jesus said to His disciples, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33). The mystery behind the peace of God the believer enjoys in the midst of troubles is based on his relationship with God. The believer derives comfort and peace from the word of God. As a result, nothing can hurt or offend him. He is not afraid of bad news because his God is in control. Beloved, is your life characterised by crisis? Have faith in God and you will enjoy great peace. Be wise!

Prayer : Today, I receive the peace of God into my heart to end my crisis, amen.
