Verse Of The Day : And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. Acts 16:9

THOUGHT OF THE DAY : We do not make Jesus Christ more popular by mere going to church. We make Him popular by telling the unbelieving world about Him.

LISTEN : Brethren, it is time to make Jesus Christ more popular. Let more people like, admire and submit to Him from nations of the world. However, we cannot achieve this by mere going to church, but by constantly telling the unbelieving world about His redemptive work and the mediatory role He plays between God and humanity. This is important because, Satan has so blinded the eyes of people that, they do not recognise the danger they are in. Lives are wasted everyday around the world because people chose Satan over God. They live their lives in favour of the so-called pleasures of the world. They are lost because they do not know Christ Jesus. However, God wants them to be saved. The Bible says, “since he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.” (1Timothy 2:4-6). My dear, are you a believer in Christ Jesus? Do you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour? Are you born again by the power of the Holy Spirit? Then, you are not permitted to ignore the lost, especially now that COVID-19 is killing people around the world in large numbers on daily basis. If people must die, let them die knowing Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. My dear, you are not permitted to watch the unsaved go to hell. In his missionary journey. Paul received a vision of where God was leading him to preach Christ – Macedonia. And he did not hesitate to move into action. The Bible says, And when he had seen the vision, straight away we made the decision to go into Macedonia, for it seemed certain to us that God had sent us to give the good news to them. (Acts 16:10). Brethren, have we not neglected the call to evangelism for a long time? Remember, when we do not have keen interest in saving the lost, we have lost our claim as followers of Christ Jesus. Henceforth, let us make Jesus Christ more popular today. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. If you are a Christian, stop sitting around and waiting endlessly to reach out to the world. Just rise and go for the lost.
2. Do not be ashamed to tell the world about our Saviour Jesus Christ.
3. Do not just be a churchgoer, be a citizen of God’s Kingdom.
4. Be determined to go where God leads, and do the work He assigns to you.

Prayer : Almighty God, today I acknowledge my sin. Henceforth, help me to do the work of evangelism, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Anyone who calls Jesus Christ Lord, but refuses or neglects His command to preach the gospel is yet to know Him.

Quote : “He who has lost interest in saving the lost has equally lost his claim as a follower of Christ Jesus.”

Faith Confession : Dear LORD! I accept to do the work you have given to me. Henceforth, I will go for the lost, amen.

Verse Of The Day: Merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22

LISTEN: You can be joyful and happy if you want to. This is not absence of troubles, but a decision to be different and hopeful. No doubt, the troubles of life are numerous. But we should learn to take life easy. Let us not keep worrying ourselves and weigh down ourselves and be denied the chances to be happy, healthy and lively. Having a joyful heart plays a vital role in our entire well-being. But when we allow heaviness to dominate our hearts, the sweetness of life will surely evaporate. My dear, no matter what you face, you should encourage yourself and be happy. Help yourself by staying joyful in every situation; for no help can be enough which is not supported by help from within you. So, take it easy on yourself. I may not know the weight of your pain and sorrow right now, but God knows entirely about your problems. Therefore, do not be hard on yourself, rather cast your burden on God for He really cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Jesus Christ said to His audience, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28). My dear, Why are you struggling under your burdens alone? Why not come to Jesus Christ by faith today and quit worrying about your problems? Beloved, remember that, God will not give up on you. Therefore, be happy always no matter what. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD! Help me to have a happy heart always no matter what. In Jesus ‘ name, amen.
