Verse Of The Day : You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32:7

LISTEN : Our God is a faithful God. He keeps His people when trouble comes. No doubt, when trials come we look for a hiding place. Sadly, there is no hiding place in times of trouble except in God. God is the only one who can keep us from trouble. In every storm He has prepared a way of escape. No storm rages against the believers without God knowing. And when we cry because of pains of trials, in the end we will rejoice because of our reward for being patient in trials. When God moves, weeping is turned into laughter and sadness is turned into joy. The Bible says, “… weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalms 30:5). Beloved, no matter the trials that may confront you, you must not settle for stagnation; but should keep moving and trusting God no matter what. Trials are part of the process that will take you to your God-ordained future. (Isaiah 48:10 ; Acts 14:22). The process may be painful and frustrating, but the bliss that awaits you at the end of the journey is worth the sufferings. No matter how long the journey may take, you will surely arrive at your God-given destination if you fix your eyes on God. Surely, you will sing songs of deliverance at the end of the journey, if you are not distracted by the momentary afflictions that you are bound to suffer. No doubt, troubles may come, but God’s grace is equally available for those who maintain a close walk with Him. (2 Corinthians 12:9). My dear, learn to make God your hiding place like David, and He would compass you about with songs of deliverance. He would give you abundant reason for praise and thankfulness. No matter the storm in your life, God will carry you above the storm. Remember, God keeps His people when trouble comes. Be wise!

Bible Verse : I understand more than the aged, because I have kept your precepts. Psalms 119:100

LISTEN : My dear, embrace the word of life. God’s word is the word of life. His word gives wisdom, and wisdom is key to life. Wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). And we get nothing if we lack wisdom. Life as a whole is empty without wisdom and understanding. A lost of wisdom is a lost of direction. The Bible says, “Wisdom is profitable to direct.”(Ecclesiastics 10:10). However, earthly wisdom does not qualify for this kind of wisdom ; because earthly wisdom is characterised by jealousy, bitterness, selfish ambition, corruption, hate and the likes. The wisdom that God approves is kingdom–based. The Bible says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17). Beloved, that is God’s kind of wisdom. It comes from paying attention to the words of God. When you study, meditate and apply the information you gathered from God’s words, it will set you apart from others. You will think God’s way and not your own way. You will shun evil and follow the will of God. In this kind of wisdom, what matters to you is the will of God and nothing else. Beloved, study and meditate in the word of God and you will be enabled to live wisely. Remember, the word of God is the word of life. Be wise!

Prayer : Glorious Father! Your word gives life. Therefore, help me to feed on your words always. In Jesus ‘ name, amen
