Verse Of The Day : This is what comforts me in my trouble, for your promise revives me. Psalms 119:50
LISTEN : The word of God gives comfort in trouble because God’s word produces faith; and faith produces life. The Bible says, “… The just shall live by faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4 ; Hebrews 10:38). Couple of months ago, I told a story about a christian widow in her late nineties who was asked how she was able to live that long, even after experiencing a tragedy that took the life of almost all her family members in the past. She replied, “I found comfort in the word of God. His promises revives me. I learned to accept what I can’t fix, by leaving it in the hands of a loving and faithful God. That’s my secret!” Beloved, this is what you should do. Learn to seek solace in God (1 Samuel 30:6). When the heart is broken people look for comfort. They look for the right words to soothe their pain. And until a broken heart is mended, nothing makes sense to the brokenhearted. People’s hearts are broken on a daily basis by different people and circumstances. Because of fear of heartbreak people tend to withdraw from relationships, marriage, etc. Unfortunately, keeping your distance doesn’t keep you from heartbreak. As a matter of fact, everyone of us lives with a potential for heartbreak. Life is full of uncertainties and ugly experiences. Therefore, at some point in our lives things must go out of our control like it’s today due to COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, there is a solution to our heartbreak. The solution is in the word of God. My dear, the comfort and encouragement you need for your heartbreak is in the word of God. David said, “This is what comforts me in my trouble, for your promise revives me.” (Psalms 119:50). The word of God brings comfort in times of troubles. His word heals all manner of wounds. Surely, he who goes to the word of God in time of trouble will find solace and healing. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And today the LORD has declared you to be his special people as he already promised you so you may keep all his commandments. Deuteronomy 26:18
LISTEN : To be who you’re created to be, you must believe what God says you are. You must believe that you’re precious to God. God loves you because you’re a member of His family. You’re a partaker of His covenant with Abraham. The Israelites became a special people to God by way of His covenant with Abraham. (Galatians 3:7). In the same way, we believers in Christ Jesus have been made a special people through the covenant blood of Jesus Christ. My dear, you’re special to God! You’re of great value to Him. Never allow anyone or anything to make you feel less of yourself. No matter the circumstance, believe that you’re what God says you are. Satan wants you to believe the opposite of God’s good plans for your life. He wants you to doubt God’s promises and ability to provide for you. He wants you to believe that you’re rejected or forsaken. (Psalms 27:10). He wants you to believe that all hope is lost, therefore, your life is worthless. (Psalms 27:14 ; Psalms 130:5); He wants you to believe that your condition has no solution. Above all, he wants you to be depressed and die worrying about your problems. My dear, be strong and courageous and declare to yourself that you’re special to God. The devil knows it, that is why he wants to deceive you. Therefore, you must resist him. My dear, because you’re special to God, God will give you a special treat. Jesus Christ has made you special, and the devil can’t destroy you. (1 John 4:4). So, walk in the light of this revelation and your life won’t remain the same. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, your word is true, and your promises are sure. Help me to truly rely on your words at all times, in Jesus‘ name, amen.
