Verse Of The Day : Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love its use will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

LISTEN : When the future becomes very uncertain, fear grips the heart of people. Hope disappears when the heart is overwhelmed by negative and fear-inducing thoughts and words. Around the world today, predictions are pointing to a dark future full of hardship and pain for all nations of the world due to the ravaging effects of COVID-19 pandemic. And lots of people no longer see anything good happening to them in many years to come due to what seems like an endless lockdown. All they could see is frustration, hardship, sorrow, pain, disappointment, heartbreak, death, and the like. To make matters worse, lots of people have chosen to spread fear on a daily basis instead of hope. No doubt, the world’s economy is in a grim situation, but not hopeless. Therefore, to overcome this hard time, you must be positive and full of faith and spread the message of faith and hope to others and not message of fear. There’s power in words, remember? Death and life are planted in the spirit of man by words. When you speak words of hope in what seems like a hopeless situation, you give people reason to live. But when you speak words that put fear in them, you just sponsored them to give up on life. My dear, learn to speak words of life and hope. Jesus said, “…The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. (John 6:63). Beloved, stop feeding on bad news and begins to feed on God’s word. God’s word produces faith, but bad news produces anxiety and fear. The truth is, we live by faith and die by fear. When your heart is full of faith in moments like this, you don’t panic like others, because you know that, faith doesn’t deny fact, but changes facts. The fact is that, there’s trouble in the world as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. But faith changes the equation knowing that God is in control. My dear, don’t be afraid no matter what. God will both protect and provide for you beyond your widest imagination. So, stop spreading fear and begins to spread hope instead. Be wise!

Bible Verse : I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

LISTEN: Jesus is everything we need. He stated categorically that, His disciples can do nothing without Him. Which means that, to walk apart from Jesus Christ is to choose to fail. God wants us to be fruitful, that is, He wants us to produce good results and become abundantly productive. Therefore, we should abide in Him to achieve that purpose. God wants us to be productive for His kingdom. He wants us to impact lives around the world and turn them over to Him. Beloved, God’s desire for us is to faithfully serve Him by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world, and consistently live in line with His will. However, we can’t achieve all these until we have chosen to connect and commit ourselves to Him. Our Bible verse says, “I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). My dear, we can only draw our strength from God. Hence, when the believer is disconnected from Christ, it’s practically impossible to achieve anything for the kingdom of God. Be wise!

Prayer : Eternal God, I acknowledged that I can do nothing without Christ. Therefore, I surrender myself to you today, amen.
