Verse Of The Day : Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face! Job 13 : 15

LISTEN : It takes faith and commitment to remain faithful in the midst of crisis. Where faith is absent, conviction can’t be sustained. What then is conviction? It’s a firmly held belief or opinion. Yes, without faith it is easy to compromise one’s conviction. But a person of faith finds it difficult and unreasonable to lose his stand in God even when the going gets tough. Job is one of those who would not trade God for anything. He was prepared to lose his life than lose his faith in God. (Job 1:1–22 ; 2:1–10). One may ask, “how was Job able to survive his trials?” “Why was he not broken beyond remedy?” “How was he able to remain firm in his faith in God when it is obvious that he found himself in a situation in which no progress seems possible?” “How was he able to cope with the loss of everything that was dear to his life?” “Why did he not give up hope and quit his faith?” The answer is simple. In our verse of the day. Job said, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face!” (Job 13:15). Job overcame his trials because he was not ready to compromise his faith no matter what. He attached more value to his faith than anything else. Wealth or no wealth, family or no family, money or no money, popularity or no popularity, Job was determined to stick with God. Not too many people could do what Job did. He demonstrated his commitment to God. Though his torments were increased more and more, so that there seems to be no hope of recovery, yet, he continued to trust God. Beloved, like Job, let us pledge our allegiance to God and hold onto our faith from start to finish. Remember, lack of faith will compromise your conviction. Be wise!

TOPIC : DO YOU TRULY LOVE GOD?

Monday, April 20, 2020

Bible Verse : Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Ephesians 6:24

LISTEN: Beloved, do you truly love God? God blesses those who love Him. Our love for Jesus Christ the Son of God, brings God’s favour to us. We will attract God’s favour when we love Him heartily. God’s grace keeps us going when everything threatens us. His grace or favour is the extra energy or strength given for every battle we (His people) might face. Friend, a genuine relationship with Christ will bring God’s grace (favour) to you. Favour will follow you when God becomes your priority. The Bible says, “But seek all of you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). God owns the world, and when you honour and worship Him faithfully, He can command anything or anyone to work in your favour. Though, God’s grace and goodness is for all, but He limits certain privileges to those who have accepted His only begotten Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. (John 1:12). Only those who have accepted Jesus are given the power to become sons and daughters of God; and to have access to eternal life, divine protection, divine provisions, divine health, etc. Beloved, are you a genuine lover of God? Embrace Jesus Christ today and become a citizen of God’s kingdom. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD! Help me to love you more and more as long as I live. Amen!
