Verse Of The Day : And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:7

LISTEN : My dear, when your heart is troubled, rise and pray. Prayer of faith generates confidence and courage to overcome trials and conflicts. Yes, prayer enables us to draw strength from the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). As a matter of fact, not to pray is a choice to be a prey. My dear, talking to God about your problems is key to experiencing peace of mind (Philippians 4:6-7). People feel restless and troubled when faced with trials or difficult situations because, they choose to worry about them, instead of talking to God in prayer about them (Matthew 7:7-8). My dear, learning to pray is learning to trust God. If you can pray in faith you can’t continue to live with a troubled heart. Truly, it is not possible to pray in faith in times of troubles and not feel the peace of God in your heart. I have lost count of times I prayed to God in critical situations and His peace came into my heart as soon as I ended my prayers. Peace came into my heart after praying, because I choose to trust God with my problems and knowing that He is able to help me. My dear, when you pray in faith, you have stopped thinking about what might happen as a result of your troubles, and starts believing what God says He will do in His words (Mark 9:23). Beloved, don’t be anxious about anything, rather pray about everything (Philippians 4:6). When you do that with thanksgiving, the peace of God will fill your heart and mind. As a matter of fact, your thoughts and feelings will be influenced by God and your anxiety and worries will vanish. Henceforth, when you’re heart is troubled, rise and pray. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD IS IN CONTROL

Tuesday, April 14, 2020

Bible Verse : They came to him, and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!” Matthew 8:25

LISTEN: Don’t be afraid. Relax, for God is in control. Fear reigns where God’s presence is missing. But when His presence is available, faith and peace will prevail. Beloved, is the wind of life up against you? Is your life fallen apart? Are you in pain and heartbroken? Do you think God has abandoned you to perish in your troubles? Please, calm down! God knows about your troubles and will deliver you. (Jeremiah 29:11). He will certainly rebuke the storm in your life. Never doubt God’s ability to deliver you like the disciples of Jesus Christ who responded in unbelief and fear when attacked by a heavy storm in the sea. (see Mark 4:37-40). They knew that they were in the same boat with Jesus Christ, yet, their lack of faith could not allowed them to know that with Jesus on board, they were safe. They sounded like Jesus Christ wasn’t bothered about their predicament. They approached Him and said,“Master, do you not care that we perish?” (Mark 4:38) However, he arose and rebuked the storm and said, “peace be still”, and the storm was arrested (see Mark 4:39). Beloved, are you living in fear? Please don’t panic, rather keep calm and have faith in God! Surely, He will rebuke and deliver you from the wind that is up against you. Be strong and courageous and you won’t be disappointed. Remember, God is in control. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I trust in you. Keep me from destruction, in Jesus’ name, amen.
